People act like Trout is actively trying to get hurt. It just happens to some guys.

And every time I bring up the similarities to Griffey...it's crickets. Because for Griffey, people treat it as an unfortunate circumstance. For Trout, people treat it as some kind of personal flaw or shortcoming.

Trouts injury problems started 5 years before griffeys.

And we are just stating facts...injured players are detrimental to their teams in every sport ever. I have no fukking idea why people want to treat trout with kid gloves but not others

The point is that both Trout and Griffey were on legendary trajectories before getting hurt.

It's the same situation.
So if you didn't great Griffey as damaged goods, making all the kinds of posts and jokes and threads about his durability...then it's hypocritical to do it to Trout.

Or as the kids say now: keep that same energy.

But we did treat Cincinnati red Griffey as "damaged goods" :dwillhuh:

Being able to stay healthy absolutely matters and you know it @Remote
Just look at Ronald Acuña Jr. Doesn't matter how good he is if he can't stay healthy.
Ok but what are we talking about?
Actual ability or output?

Because if we are gonna sit here and say we would rather have Harper over Trout because Trout is always hurt, then shyt…we might as well say we would rather have fukkin Brendan Doyle over Trout, too.

YOU SAID HE WAS ON
A LEGENDARY TRAJECTORY BEFORE
GETTING HURT
AS IF HIS LEGENDARY CAREER
DIDN'T COME INTO FRUITION

Anyone who followed Ken Griffey Jr's career would acknowledge that injuries prevented him from achieving considerably more.

The same is true for Mike Trout, and will remain true through the end of his career.
