But when you're in the Infantry, and overseas without being around women for months at a time, even the ugliest monster will begin to look appealing.

aiight, aiight, so maybe AF got a higher # of fresh clean 7-9s, but Navy GOT to have the highest concentration of 9s and 10s I had seen.

my mos school was in 29 palms breh....not fun . upside there were some bad chicks there though (above marine corps standards)(some desert bunnies too).

in camp pendleton during a training exercise my ssgt. got us lost and we got surrounded by bison for a good hour.

The biggest difference is that the Army drill instructor teaches you how to march....

The Marine Drill instructor is a demon from he11 who is after your body, mind, soul and butt who will make 12 weeks of your life a living he11. He will hound you from 5:00AM until midnight and after. He will humiliate, ignore, yell, curse and call you a mammas boy. He will remind you daily that YOU signed up for this so YOU are required to finish the job. He will remind you that everything you are or own belongs to him and you have no body parts you can call your own. Your thoughts are his too, because he can READ YOUR MIND. He know this because he will ask you if you are thinking of something and you will reply YES SIR....because you NEVER will be able to tell him NO. He will remind you daily that you are lower than dirt and worthless as a blown tire. He will also tell you that you will not escape him...you will become a Marine or you will die in his presence. - From yahoo.

Army instructors from what im reading are more like your father. Im already seeing a stark difference in what these methods will produce.

Ive had army drill Sargents described exactly as above straight psychopaths . Visit Ft.Benning and c if they're like ur father. Certain basic training spots are more intense than others

So theres no truth in marines being tougher then the army in your opinion? Does the OP just need a hug.

A few years ago (Like, 07/08) I got drunk with a friend's friend who was in the Marines. He was between deployments or whatever. He was actually telling me about this stuff. He had served over in Iraq, and he was going on and on about how the Army just continuously fukks things up. He kept telling me about this cycle of Marines going into an area, wrecking shyt, leaving it to the army, and then in a few months the Army would have lost control and they would have to do the same thing over again.

Like I said, we were drinking, and it was a couple of years ago, but...that always stuck out to me as at the time I didn't really even consider there to be much of a difference between the two.
