I hated the Immobiliarity album. The only track I liked on it, was Sneakers. Still love that track. But the album as a whole was disappointing. I mean I understand it would be difficult to outdo OB4CL, but Rae could have the least dropped something different and honorable in the spirit of It Was Written. Instead he went from his own Illmatic straight to Nastradamus. He's more than made up for it since though with the Vatican series, OBCL2, and Shaolin vs WuTang. SvsWu is one of my favorite albums in recent years.

rae saved himself with cuban lynx 2..then shaolin v wu tang was pretty good.

I'm a Rae fan and even I'll admit that Rae was one more bad album away from falling all the way off. Lex Diamond was BAD enough for me to almost be like "wtf happened to this guy?" Cuban Linx 2 was arguably his last shot as a solo artist and I think he knew it. That's why the album is amazing.

I loved OB4CL but I always felt the production on “immobilarity” was bland. I tried to give it a couple more listens, front to back, last year. It didn’t grow on me at all. I won’t knock anybody for liking it, it just wasn’t for me.

Agreed. Some of the tracks def feel like someone imitating RZA. Like...RZA likes strings so let's lazily throw the Jurassic Park theme over some snares and call it a day. Just feels weird when you consider how much digging RZA was doing for his strings/samples.

Live From NY is my shyt tho. Pete Rock has a banger on there too, Sneakers.

It definitely had a few songs I enjoyed but If I had to recall what they sounded like, in my head, I’d draw a blank.

I liked Live from NY, Sneakers and The Table... That is honestly all I remember from it. When I got it I hated it! Later on those songs were good and maybe a song or two I could tolerate, nothing worth revisiting often though.
