How much sleep do you typically get?
Is it difficult to go to sleep once you’re in bed?

Seems like a lot of people these days are taking these melatonin pills or melatonin tea.

But I don’t trust those as long term solutions. I feel like they become a crutch for people.

I typically am good to 6 hours.

You see people say that you have to get more sleep but my feeling is “you wake up when you wake up” :yeshrug: It is what it is.

t-dot till they bury me
I typically get 4-6hrs
I've always been a night owl, find it hard to fall asleep
Don't take any aids, don't want become dependant on them

I think I'm functioning ok even though I don't get the "8hrs of sleep"

I actually am thinking about doing a sleep study to see if there is anything that I can change to help me sleep better

I'm with you on "when you wake up, you wake up"...Let the body naturally wake itself up. I get around 7 hours of sleep. I'm in bed by 9:30...I know :flabbynsick:, and up at 4:30 to hit the gym.I don't consume any caffeine throughout the day, so It's pretty easy for me to fall asleep. I'm asleep within about 5 minutes of my head hitting the pillow.

If you brehs take any advice from me, take this. Go get a sleep study done. You may have an diagnosed issue that fukks with your sleep, such as sleep apnea.

I can't think of any reason why so many of us get bad sleep.

A combination of too much blue light exposure at night from screens, not enough sunlight upon rising and magnesium deficiency combined with being mostly out of touch with their inner realms.

The :flabbynsick:aspect doesn't help. Most people slam caffeine like it doesn't induce a tweaked out state in your nervous system as well as all of the crap and additives in these food like substances. Combine that with poor sleep hygiene and it is what it is.

How do you get up at 430 to hit the gym and how do you have the energy? I ask because I'm thinking of doing that myself. I could go after work, but something about doing it before makes it sound better.

I probably should cut back a little on caffeine.
Sometimes I take a pre workout when I want to force myself to go to the gym. Then I regret it at night.

Honestly breh I'm just a natural early riser. The latest I've ever slept in my life was noon, and that was after I went to bed at 4:00am. I don't consume any caffeine so no afternoon crash and my body can naturally come down at night. A lot of people can't do it, but once you get in the habit it's easy. The biggest thing is not hitting the snooze button and just getting out of bed. The mid morning, early afternoon energy boost is GOAT and the gyms are usually empty, so that's a plus. Go for it breh and see how you like it.

I rarely drink pop, and I think the last cup of coffee I had was in 2018... If you need a preworkout they have stimi free options you can try.

No one slept 8 hours until the industrial revolution .

Typically it was 2 sessions of 4hr intervals
