You don’t think Tatum and Brown take the opportunity to try to assert themselves as leaders on the team with all the older stars gone?

3.5 to 4 years is a long time, so time can heal wounds. But the Olympic team has to guarantee Steve "not coaching shyt" Kerr is not apart of Team USA whatsoever

Spo is most likely gonna be the head coach in 28, that Tatum/Brown thing shouldn't even be an issue. They'll take the call, they'll be the 2 best players on the team, there won't be a KD/Bron/Steph trio anymore.

It might look like 2000 Sydney kind of squad.
A rising star Vince, already established stars KG and Kidd and few more pieces won the gold back then cause competition was pretty weak. Now you need way more power so they better try assemble strongest group of Americans.

Facts.

2028 feels like a transition year. They'll still be one of the favorites, but more vulnerable than in years past. Do they have that KD/Steph/Bron player that can will them to victory in a tight game?

A collection of talent is important. You also need those dawgs that can just make shyt happen no matter what. Going to be interesting.

If I'm Tatum, I tell Grant Hill & team USA to fk themselves

Tatum has been better than both Bron & KD for the past 3-4 seasons...and he gets no burn in the Olympics :mjlol:

How Tatum for a player of his caliber was treated was inexcusable

He's been the only American consistently in the top 5 of nba players for the past 4 yrs

Vince will always be good in my book for coming through in the clutch against Lithuania :salute:(KG also did his thing)

It’s interesting that there are no A-level superstars in this group, depending on how you feel about Tatum.

We got three more seasons.

Cade at point. Edwards at the 2. Tatum/Paolo at the forward spots. Chet at center. Still got guys like Ja Zion Devin Booker and Jaylen Brown who could be starters or on the team if they choose to play.

This year’s draft got Dylan Harper and Cooper Flagg who make for some nice back-up pieces to Cade and Paolo/Chet.

Then you got Dybantsa, Boozer and Koa Peat next year.

I think people are sleeping. USA’s youth talent absolutely been blowing out international competition the last few years and they’ll have a good amount of NBA experience by 2028. It was basically three years of the most lopsided wins for FIBA U16/U17/U18 play.
