Why is it that Nas stans always try their hardest, typing up essays and shyt to try and dismay and discredit Jay? :scusthov:

Dude probably still has it in him but he's not about that lifestyle any more, he would rather impress random white celebrities and namedrop hipster bands and wear skinny jeans. It's a classic case of believing your own hype, and it's a damn shame that it happened in <6yrs.

R.I.P. Jay.

:aicmon:

So you feel like you had to shyt on jay just to big up Nas??

:pacspit: @ your dumbass thread

You have a nas album in your avi so shut the fukk up.

"the beef on the net, it will never end/ never hit the thread less I get my Beretta in"

cosign,....

then this nikka is always trying to point some bullshyt out.

except for ignoring his own actual stsn based bias.

nikka von doom,...stfu.

plus stop trying to point out shyt that was evident a decade ago.

just so you and the rest of the defeated nas stan.

can attempt to celebrate a false win.

art barr

Another stan thread.
It's disturbing how invested some of you are when it comes to these 2 artists. I honestly don't understand it and I'm not sure if I even want to.

Why couldn't you just make a Nas Appreciation thread if you wanted to highlight his accomplishments?

Y'all are some retards, especially that catfood-eating shopping cart pushing homeless portable wi-fi hotspot Art Barr. I made the thread as an observation after hearing Jay's wack verse on 3 Kings. The thread is about Jay's lyrical decline. There's nothing wrong with contrasting the trajectory of his career with Nas to illustrate the point. It's a fair and valid thing to mention considering how their careers mirrors each other as elite NY rappers with similar subject matter, have achieved success and longevity while coming under scrutiny in regard to their degree of artistic compromising for mainstream success, and are probably the only two emcees from the mid 90's that have maintained mainstream success and respect as emcees.

Jay is one of my favorite rappers all time and I have no problem giving him his due props. I'm not emotionally invested in keeping their beef alive. I mentioned Nas as a point of contrast at the end of the post and that's all y'all see. You've been made so dizzy by all the Nas vs. Jay beef threads that you have on beef binoculars and that's the only thing you saw here.

its all subjective. what you might not like someone else does. how you feel about jay-z might be felt about nas by someone. jay-z still dope to me and I still check for his shyt so I don't agree. but you have your opinion :ehh:

I still like his music too. I said AG was very good, BP3 was straight, and WTT was also very good. He still has a good ear for beats, a good delivery and voice, and makes good hooks. His lyrical ability has declined significantly imo and it seems he's running out of subject matter.

Breh..you're not allowed to be critical of Jay if you're a Nas fan..people will IGNORE the (good) points you made and just go back to the old "look at this Gnauhs stan shiiting on Jay just to big op his idol" angle ..

It was that way on SOHH..and it still is on this forum

Thread starter has a point and explains himself very well but I know how this is already gonna play out. Don't expect to get any real discussion just name calling and Stan accusations.

Edit:
Looks like it already has. Place isn't all that different from SOHH after all.

I can't understand this bizarro-land sh1t

how can anyone listen to 3 kings and be like :lawd: hov killed that! tell me more about how you met oprah and your wife/daughter/maid etc stunts on people's lives

then drop the beat and put an echo on that while you ramble like you got woken up by a smoke detector battery alarm

American Gangster was very dope. Gotta give him credit for that. But still he had to go back to his early drug-rapping days and force a concept album to re-ignite the spark.

WTT was good, but mostly dude to Kanye's production. No real standout verses from Jay.

On WTT, he's not even dumbing down for radio play and he's about lyrically on par with Kanye, who is nowhere near an elite emcee.

But after 10 albums and 20 years, Nas still sound like a hungry, passionate, determined artist in his element and doesn't look like his skill is going anywhere. Jay sounds like a dude that doesn't even want to rap anymore. He's not garbage by any means, but he's deteriorated a lot when you go back and remind yourself of what a monster he used to be, then listen to him now.

Most can't take your thread serious when you say ridiculous things like the ones above. The fact that you have Nas' album as your avi, and then bring him up in your explanation by praising him, as if he has never done any wrong just makes cats go :comeon:

Even when you give Hov minimal props, you shyt on him by saying he had to force a concept (AG) to be any good lol

What really got me is when you said dude had no standout verses on WTT, he was equal lyrically to Ye on there, and that it was only good because of Ye's production. Insane.

a couple years from now the bubble will pop and I think a significant camp of people will recognize that BP3, MBDTF & WTT were a wildly overrated era
