Concords is when I knew to fall back. I found myself on a line at 3AM and just walked off and caught myselfNah, I say the concords really changed shyt. Most nikkas in the hood never really cared about sbs.

Breh as late as 08 I walked right in the store on a Saturday afternoon and copped the bred 4sNah man. Raffles weren't happening in 06. Neither was camping. And if it did, they were for limited edition kicks. Not general releases. Kicks that aren't even rare are now being camped and raffled on. I didn't even camp for ANY of the CDPs. Got them all retail weeks after they dropped.

I'm selling my collection to a buyer in Midtown tomorrow for 18k
coli ballers, somewhat agree not just cacs though. reason i don't wear a lot of that stuff anymore...no originalityThat's what I'm saying breh. It definitely wasn't happening then. It happened after the Space Jam release. I remember i came in the school, and no lie the motherfukker was hella emptyBreh as late as 08 I walked right in the store on a Saturday afternoon and copped the bred 4s
And that's one of the GOAT sneakers![]()

And when kool aid and wave grease becomes a great way to flip your money, then it will be that factor that changed the game, not because black folks were the main consumersWhite people make Kool Aid and wave grease too breh. Doesn't change the fact that nikkas are the main consumer.
People still line up at Supreme?I always laugh when I see these guys waiting in line at Supreme.

I'm getting rid of all this shyt. Well not everything, I'm keeping my Olympic 7s, OG Flu Games and French Blues. Just about everything else is getting sold though.coli ballers, somewhat agree not just cacs though. reason i don't wear a lot of that stuff anymore...no originality

Basketball sneakers are the closest thing we have to black owned sneakers that people would actually wears. Even if these guys are under contract to Nike, Reebok, etc we are still supporting a black man's brand. If you buy a pair of Air Maxs that's not the caseNone of these sneaker companies are black owned. The creatives are mostly non-black
Why would you think that regular black folks have such influence on sneaker culture?
Why would you think that materialism, that plagues humans, would be different for white folks and sneakers? Especially when it was about stunting with exclusives, before it became an investment strategy
Yes they were.
I get that GR's are having people camp out now but people were camping out back then for Quickstrikes and Hyperstrikes. Hell when I got into sneakers it was ONLY cacs camping out.
I never saw black kids rocking SB's
I only really saw them rocking them shytty ass Fusion J's :pachaha"
This blame should go on Nike though.
They realized the popularity of what they had, upped the price, downgraded the quality and kept churning out shyt after shyt because anybody would buy them.

That's what I'm saying. SB's made the white kids get into sneakers more than any pair of jordans.Nah, I say the concords really changed shyt. Most nikkas in the hood never really cared about sbs.
Yup. Those, the Concorde, and those ugly ass Galaxy foams changed the game completelyThat's what I'm saying breh. It definitely wasn't happening then. It happened after the Space Jam release. I remember i came in the school, and no lie the motherfukker was hella empty
I called my boy tryna figure out where nikkas were and theye all cut to get SJs. And it was never the same after that.
