Basketball sneakers are the closest thing we have to black owned sneakers that people would actually wears. Even if these guys are under contract to Nike, Reebok, etc we are still supporting a black man's brand. If you buy a pair of Air Maxs that's not the case

I'd pay some serious bread for a couple SB's and Air Max' I wasn't able to afford when I was younger though.

I feel like that's one of the main problems. When I was growing up I remember begging my mother for some Js for years before she broke down and got the 11s.
