Lloyd averaged 19 yards a catch two years ago with Kyle Orton

2yrs. ago and he has been hampered by nagging injuries all year which means he has lost a step..and wasn't that fast to begin with...

Feel free to overpay for Mike Wallace or Greg Jennings then and have Brady throwing it all game to Edelman in the slot.

i dont think Mike Wallace and Jennings would solve their problems either. they need a receiver like Hakeem Nicks, AJ, etc. hell, even a Braylon in his prime would be perfect. they need someone physical, not a finesse bytch like Jennings or one trick pony in Wallace

lets act like brandon lloyd is not a deep threat, dudes makes great catch every game, brady passes to him are never perfect and he comes down wit them, brady has everything he need, deep threat in lloyd, wes one of the best route runners and has great hands(most of the time), is quick and pick up lots of yards after the catch, 2 great TE and one of the best running games in the nfl, and a OL who keeps him clean every night :smh: at all these pleas being copped for brady

Brandon Lloyd is not a deep threat. @NYC_Rebel and I were saying that shyt before the season. Brady's passes to do that dude are never accurate because he stays falling down. And because he doesn't get separation.

Doesnt Lloyd fit the bill then?

when Ridley fumbled, i felt it coming. dude is good for one at least once a game

Vereen and Woodhead should be getting the bulk of the carries. Ridley is way too reckless with the ball

He's our best RB and that was helmet to helmet, there's nothing dude could've done.

So you're going to ignore Stallworth showing up for once game and Brady throwing deep bombs to him instantly...GTFOH

So you think that if they had a true deep threat they wouldn't use him( again when they had Moss/Stallworth they threw deep plenty)....and I hope you are not comparing Wallace and Lloyd as far as deep threats are concerned...

The bomb?

lol

Everyone in the league can throw the bomb.

Brady struggles with the intermediate passing game down the field.

Welker is one of the best recievers in the league and is the engine for that offense. Look at his numbers.

Hes also durable as fukk, gets lit up 6-7 times a game and never seems to miss any action. He has dropped some massive passes but thats not a reason to give him the axe. Its not like a kicker who misses an important kick in a big game. This is the offense.

And the Pats had a "big play WR" in Moss, who I loved. But they got bounced out of the playoffs every year he was here too. Cant have it both ways. Defense played like shyt and so did Brady, complete breakdown last night.

everyone in the league has a receiver with height to throw the ball down the field too even if they arent burners

Brady has 5'9/5'10 guys that he has to drop the ball in perfectly to give them a chance. he has no receivers to throw the ball up to and fight for it like Torrey Smith last week against Bailey or something

the go route they sent Gronk on was painful to watch. they're sending a TE on a go route. they're that desperate

their offense is built for the regular season. but they CANNOT continue like this is they want success because they have no big play ability when they need it if they are losing a game. they need a big time receiver badly

Yeah, but my point is that the reason Brady is so effective is partly b/c he never gets knocked on his butt. Teams can rush 6 guys and Brady wont get touched b/c he's getting the ball out to Welker or Branch, or whoever they throw in there.

A real, deep threat would mean he's gotta wait a bit longer for him to get open.

Brady, post knee injury, might not be the same mentally to stand in thepocket like that.

Actually they didnt throw deep nearly as much as you think in 2007 with Moss...

Lloyd got overrated after that one season, hes been with 22 diff teams for a reason. franchise WR's dont move around like that

Jennings is almost a lock to go back to Philbin in MIA, and we have the most money to throw out. Wallace would get 2 targets a game in NE, i dont see that being a match
