The bomb?

lol

Everyone in the league can throw the bomb.

Brady struggles with the intermediate passing game down the field.

You're officially a fool. Brady made his career off the intermediate passing game. How do you go from saying Brady can't throw the deep ball to this stupidity when he is the most accurate intermediate throwing in the NFL...smh.

Go sit down. I'm sure he struggled when that was all he ever threw to givens. When he threw it to Gaffney all the time (who was supposed to be on this team instead of Branch if he didn't get hurt), etc.

You're embarrassing yourself now. I'm done.

good article. like what the first sentence said, they can't stretch the field. and they can't stretch the field because they don't have the personnel to do it

Brady post knee is a part of the reason though too.

Pats should have gone after Vincent Jackson when they had the chance.

When you cant throw the deep ball, the safeties can now play in a closer radius..

I think the Pats know this, but B.LLoyd isnt the answer nor was stallworth..

Because they dont command double coverage

They need a hybrid receiver like a healthy Hakeem Nicks as someone said earlier..

But those are hard to find

what's this years receiving class looking like? free agency and incoming rookies? any immediate impact receivers along the lines of a Michael Floyd?

I'm a broncos fan and I saw Brandon Lloyd make some of the greatest catches ever, he was a deep threat wit Kyle Orton, where he was getting doubled and the d was shaded to his side cause we didn't have any other offensive weapons

Brady's never made his living throwing deep passes. It's always been the short-intermediate stuff. Difference now is the timely plays that the Patriots always use to make aren't there anymore.

Doesnt make him any less of a player honestly as he's obviosuly mastered the position....but you give Brady a deep threat...or a guy who gets open down the field I dont think there's any guarantee he becomes a great down the field passer.

A motivated Moss still in his prime...yeah he looked good throwing the bomb to him. So did Culpepper and Cunningham. The bomb isnt a difficult pass to throw.

Very very deep WR class...probably as good as 2012's QB class. The Pats could instantly upgrade over Welker with Tavon Austin or Stedman Bailey. Maybe even Kenny Stills. All 3 got hands and the former 2 have elite speed with small frames.

I'm just praying they don't target D'Arick Rodgers. Dude is like 6'3 and has Randy Moss esque playmaking ability. He just has character issues that fukked up his stock. Just the type of player BB would take a shot on.

There's a lot of QB's in the league that aren't great at throwing the ball downfield but they have 6'3 receivers with the ability to jump out the stadium

The only QB's that I'd say are legitimately elite at long balls are Rodgers, Flacco, RGIII, Romo, Brees
