I'm tempted to try 8 but haven't had the need because I'm cool with 7. :manny:

No need to worry about upgrade prices, we get OS's for free.

I think they gave the market something that wasn't needed. Everyone was use to the classic windows layout then out of nowhere, they give you a metro UI. They went for the WOW factor and didn't get the response they expected.

I don't think they have the ability to make into a winner either.

the metro interface is never gonna fly on a desktop or laptop computer. on a tablet yeah but nobody wants scaled back style mobile apps on a pc. i love Windows 8 for the portion of it that is basically just a faster version of Windows 7 but i don't use any metro apps. i trued the internet explorer and all the damn menus and options are basically gone. it was so annoying i disabled the metro version in favor of the regular desktop one.

Windows 8 will go down as a failure because outside of the metro interface its a minor upgrade to Windows 7 that nobody asked for. whoever came up with the dumb idea of putting mobile style apps on a pc and expecting people to use them needs to be fired. why the hell am i gonna run a facebook app on my pc when i can just open a tab on my web browser and go to the full featured facebook site? same with youtube? on a cell phone or tablet you don't have a mouse / keyboard nor the level of control you have on a real pc so dumbed down applications that trade being full featured for quick access to information are necessary but not on a desktop pc.

Got a legit free copy of 8 due to my msdn license and I still went back to 7. Only thing I like about 8 is the improved explorer

We'll keep making this thread every few months til Windows Blue comes out

Then we'll look back and there will still be a few scragglers but the main point will be that WINDOWS 8 IS fukkING ASS AND NO ONE LIKES IT.

fukk. It's the new Vista. Accept it. This is just like on the hamster when nikkas were bending over backwards to defend Vista while the rest of the world was telling you that they were staying on XP. But but but why? Because we don't like it, we don't give a fukk how much YOU like Metro UI and shortcut combinations, the rest of the world does'nt.

Or should we just ignore the data that's coming out? Stop sucking the Microsoft cock and touting that "Metro UI is an option" BS. It's not. Ok? They wanted to make the push to that interface, they took a gamble and it's not panning out. That's why Surface ain't selling cause people don't give a fukk.

If they're smart, in Windows Blue there will be an option in the fukking Control Panel it TURN IT OFF. Stop trying to dictate the user experience...even months before 8 dropped, the general consensus was that people did not like this idea.

Flash forward to March 2013 we got charts and numbers to prove it.

Vista was only good when you had REALLLLLY good specs and 8 is only good if you REALLLLLY like the Touchscreen shyt which most people either don't have or don't really give a fukk about.

Ballmer is on his way out after this and with good reason. THE WRITING IS ON THE WALL. Stop trying to swipe it...

I really like Windows 8, Im working in the IT and for me its best Windows ever.

AUTOMATIC DRIVER INSTALLATION :ahh:

FAST BOOT :jawalrus:

Sure it has some bugs, but they are relatively easy to fix. Its very fast, has lesser requirements than Win 7 and its easier to use.

Win 8 FTW, fukk what you heard :birdman:

how many people shytting on Windows 8 have actually used it long enough to develop a preference about it?

when you find people that actually have installed and used 8 for a decent period of time they tend to say the same thing i've been saying its a better version of 7 just ignore the metro apps.

most of the people shytting on Windows 8 never even tried it or used it for less than a couple of days and never adjusted then ran back.

people shytting on Vista were worse. you needed 2GBs of ram minimum to run Vista and people were rocking desktops with at the most 1GB of ram and you couldn't run Vista on that effectively so because their PCs couldn't handle it they cried about it? back then i built a PC and had 3GBs of ram and never had any complaints. ran fine.

We'll be revisiting this. And you will cop pleas. Just like you're doing now.

The only reason people have Windows 8 now is because it comes on their new laptop they just bought.

No one is willingly going out and copping this shyt. No one. The numbers don't lie dog. Like...WTF...

the funny part about it is all the people that still shyt on Windows Vista to this day fail to realize that Windows 7 is nothing more than a slightly modified version of Vista.
Under the Hood, Windows 7 Is Vista's Twin | PCWorld

this is the Microsoft cycle. Windows 9 is gonna basically be Windows 8 and people will more than likely praise it just like they did 7.

two reasons people will never buy Windows 8. they got rid of the start menu and metro.
both of these are easily fixable you can put the start menu back in Windows 8 if you want and you never have to use any Metro apps. once you do this however you're basically left with a faster version of Windows 7.
