Themes are just as important
Imagine stone cold with out his
They are, but Austin would have gotten over with his mic skills.
Roode to me is only over cause of that theme.
He'd be Roddy Strong, Austin Aries level if he didn't have it

all wwe did was give him that themeRoode is legit and has been for a while, when he turned on James Storm and started his run he was easy to buy into. He had the X's and O's before he arrived in NXT
TNA just couldn't add that extra garnish to him the way WWE did with that theme and presentation. Those glorious bombs put him over the top because people got to connect to him
do you think the Glorious gimmick has that kind of potential?![]()
ill answer this honestlyI have never really understood how y'all cream yourselves over a dude's entrance/theme.
Especially when its guys who you admit to not caring about until he got a certain entrance.
And you could see Roode's potential when he was part of Team Canada and he was able to hold his own in his first solo feud against Booker T. After that he was totally legit as both a singles and tag wrestler.
Dude is a complete wrestler.
The entire presentation about a wrestler matters. Theme, entrance, the way they move, workrate, their strikes, mic skills, etc. it all matters. This CHARACTER of which the theme is an integral part of is major.I have never really understood how y'all cream yourselves over a dude's entrance/theme.

In nxt he changed his finisher and got the crowd acclimated to his theme and character. I was opposed but now i i am with the move. he should leave very very soon though....No reason for him to have ever set foot in nxt.
What does it matter if he changed his finish and theme and character, this could have been done in WWE and he could have gotten acclimated in a few dark matches. In nxt he changed his finisher and got the crowd acclimated to his theme and character. NXT is developmental, no need to put a vet down there who can go in WWE and tell a story. Same with Storm, storm should have been in the WWE not NXT.
NXT isn't required at all for a vet, stop man, they didn't put AJ in NXT. They can create a new character in WWE just like they used to do before NXT give him a new gimmick and send him out....and they developed a character there.
Thats the purpose of nxt for a vet.
But if the guy is a bum not even the best entrance/theme in the world can make him better. The entire presentation about a wrestler matters. AJ is absolutely exceptional and he developed who he is in NJPW. If he came from TNA straight he probably could've used a few months in nxt.NXT isn't required at all for a vet, stop man, they didn't put AJ in NXT. It isn't required but it can help for sure.
