:russ: at mocking OP's argument while showing your ignorance.

Pac and Premo did work together (though not released) and Face has been on at least one Premo beat, if not a couple.

If you're a legendary rapper worth your salt, you found a way to get with Preme :umad:

Shut ya retarded ass up

Primo didnt have a beat on any face album from mr scarface is back to the fix so i could give a fukk about a random inconsequential collaboration that had literally no impact on faces top 5 status

And pac the goat regardless but he died before you got into rap

Premo beat might be a hallmark for EAST COAST MCs but by no means is it 100% obligatory to make a case in the top 5.

In Ghost's case, he had RZA, who was on that level if not better anyway, so that sorts him out.

Cube being a West Coast dude doesn't need Premo. He has Dre. Plus when he did record shyt over on the EC for AmeriKKKa's Most, he worked with the Bomb Squad, who are also in that tier of respect.

and Cube is the GOAT.

Somewhat agree. Since Primo is the greatest producer of all time, it only makes sense you rock with the GOAT to cement your legacy. But there's been a large number of dope ass emcees that have never even sniffed a Preem track.

With the exception of Smif N Wessun on 1,2 pass it, nobody in BCC has officially rocked with Primo. They've freestyled off Preem beats, but thats it.

Black Thought
All of Wu except Deck, Meth, and ODB
Boots
Outkast
Kweli
Pun
Wise Intelligent
Cube
Eminem
Roc Marciano
Busta (unreleased)
Chuck D
Twista
LL (unreleased)

For the record btw, Primo does have a Mobb Deep remix, so Prodigy has at least been heard on a Primo track.

Ghostface invalidates this argument.

In terms of Hov you could erase all his Premo songs and he'd still be worthy of top 5 discussion to many people. Most of his best beats came from others. Even on RD the best, most classic beat on there is Dead Presidents II from Ski.

I love Premo but this is a heavy easy coast bias argument. Yea he worked with Snoop but there are other non NY dudes who could be in a top 5 despite no Premo tracks. I don't care who you worked with. Top five is about your consistency, catalog, skill, classic albums/songs, impact, lyrics, flow, etc. Not whether you rapper over one dude's beats. G Rap is top 5 caliber and while he does have Premo beats they're inconsequential to his career; they're basically non album stuff iirc.

the real hiphop.
I don't agree with this thread, there is no such producer in the history of rap. Top 5 rankings are based on other criteria.

So that's the point you decided to focus on?

What about the rest of the post that addresses your main topic?

The majority of your post was sucking Cube dikk, as usual and expected. so I responded to that.

I didn't respond to the Ghostface part because I already mentioned dude in OP. :salute:

except for the fact that even Jay-Z himself thinks "D'Evils" is one of the best shyt's he's ever recorded. He wrote up a whole thing in Decoded and I can't remember if there was an actual clip of him saying so.

I dunno why some of y'all are pretending like you can just remove Premo from Jay-Z's discog like "it's cool." shyt like "A Million And One Questions/Rhyme No More" is one of Jay-Z's best ever songs.

:russ: at "There are non NY dudes who could be in a top 5" without mentioning/explaining them. Let's forget that guys like Luda (who aren't top 5 of course) deliberately sought out Premo because they know that a Premo stamp makes you legendary.

regarding Kool G Rap, "First nikka" is easily one of his best ever songs.

You didn't address the validity of having RZA or Dre or the Bomb Squad as producers.

:russell: You didn't elaborate on why RZA or Dre or Bomb Squad could be replaced for Premo in the "you can't be top 5 without a _______ beat"

I put forward a well thought argument. You or others just saying "nah" or tossing a name lazily doesn't help.

In these responses, I can tell who really knows their shyt and who doesn't, even if he/she disagrees.
