sloppy list aside, none of those guys are top 5. Pac comes closest (and he worked with Premo even though it wasn't released - dunno why y'all keep mentioning Pac).

alot of dope MC's rapped over DJ Premier production. not everybody can sound good on those kind of beats unless you are lyrically inclined for it. Gangstarr was tailor made for them beats.

except for the fact that even Jay-Z himself thinks "D'Evils" is one of the best shyt's he's ever recorded. He wrote up a whole thing in Decoded and I can't remember if there was an actual clip of him saying so.

I dunno why some of y'all are pretending like you can just remove Premo from Jay-Z's discog like "it's cool." shyt like "A Million And One Questions/Rhyme No More" is one of Jay-Z's best ever songs.

regarding Kool G Rap, "First nikka" is easily one of his best ever songs.

I didn't say the Hov/Premo tracks were bad, they're great. The point is that a rapper can have an amazing catalog of albums or songs without Premo. Take D'Evils and Premo's other tracks from RD and it's still a great album. Jay is still Jay, The Blueprint still would exist, etc.

Scarface has top 5 quality catalog, no Premo beats; I'm not counting the Khaled collab. Andre 3k never worked with Premo. Ice Cube has two of the best/most important classic albums in rap...never worked with Premo.

nah. I love Face but he's not top 5, and his discog certainly isn't top 5 material. He also was on "Betrayal" and he just did a joint with Premo and a bunch of people "Who's Crazy", which was a banger last year. So Face and Premo got that relationship, as almost all contenders do
