it's all mental...I had a MB and gonna push the Lex...gotta get it out your mind and judge the cars equally. If you have test drove a same category lex, bmw, mb, and audi (and even a jag) you shouldn't judge.

lex has great handling, reliability, they upped the looks with that new face and
not to mention has a great interior with maybe the A5 having better.

Your pics are both wrong. The first is a Mercedes, and the second is the new Gs not the new IS. The new IS looks much sharper than the GS to me.

Bimmer lost because of the electronic steering....Lexus got spanked in every other department according to the article. They'll continue to be the safe alternative to the german 3

I've owned Japanese and German cars and also went to school for mechanical engineering. The Germans take engineering a lot more seriously.

what's the more reliable car? You say they take engineering more seriously, but I think they take interior design more seriously. Lexus is right up there with them, especially the new ones. Japanese cars can be more conservative and they've definitely made them more aggressive, just look at the IS350 new spindle...

dude is right german engineering is at the pinnacle...they set the benchmark...lexus is not on the same level they want to make cars in the same class that's why they are "demanding" that respect. Its a luxury Toyota but engineering and handling is no way near to a bmw

it's under the brand Toyota , the egineering and most of the parts aren't even related to Toyota.

they are demanding respect because historically, they were only luxury cars with a comfortable drive...the new ones are just as aggressive as BMW's and have come out on top in many reviews and if you've driven both of the new ones, you would see Lexus falls right in the mix of givng better BMW ride/drive with Audi type of luxury interior.

c'mon man put a bmw on the track against a lex jag and telsa and you will see who comes out ahead...bmw's especially m series have been benchmark as far as perfect engineering. Even companies such as Lamborghini has said in the past M sets benchmark in which they choose their cars to achieve when testing on the "ring" in germany....All of these cars especially lex and jag try to put a high horsepower car in the class but handling wise its terrible..point is anyone can build a high horsepower high torque engine but its hard to master a car than is balanced.
