I'm still shocked that this game was anything but terrible.
And it's just not good souls combat that won me over. It's a fantastic setting, story, and art direction.

Its good because its balanced correctly, unlike khazan where you feel like you’re just ramming your head against a wall every boss encounter

But on the low Lords of the Fallen had a update last month and that game is waaayyyyyy better than it used to be
So, it's prequel, but Gemini does some Terminator time travel? P is OP and meets up with a stalker to team, but eventually gets puts out of commission. Then, a stalker repairs him in a train car and leaves Gemini. Then, probably dies.

Almost every main boss did feel like that though, Khazan was no different than Lies of P in that way. Lol at Laxasia or Swamp Monster being balanced bosses that a player can figure out on the fly.
The lack of emphasis on weaknesses can make LoP a tough experience.
