Yall think yall going through hell try beating this on NG+11
First time I did the Old Hunters was just on NG+ and I vowed to never run a DLC beyond NG for the first run againYall think yall going through hell try beating this on NG+11
Why would I do that?Yall think yall going through hell try beating this on NG+11
When the game first dropped, it was broken and out of balance. I beat it on the OG difficulty but didn't have fun. They nerfed a lot of things after and it made the game much more enjoyable. But, the DLC is back to the OG feel and it's just annoying. This was the first souls borne game I got burnt out on because it felt like they just made things janky as the challenge instead of dynamic gameplaybased on the initial reactions online it sounds like they're continuing down that same path
Yea I didn't really have fun playing it or grinding for levels at all like I did with Sekiro and Elden RingWhen the game first dropped, it was broken and out of balance. I beat it on the OG difficulty but didn't have fun. They nerfed a lot of things after and it made the game much more enjoyable. But, the DLC is back to the OG feel and it's just annoying.
New patch is out.

Lies of P's Overture DLC Patched to Rebalance and Reduce Monster Difficulty, After Complaints It Was Too Hard - IGN

Fred.
Going from Khazan to this, I gotta say, the combat feels primitive.
Edit just left the zoo, this is as good as the main game so far.
After playing a few hours post patch (legendary stalker) I think the DLC is still hard but it’s fair.
I am by no means great at these games but I’m good enough. And I thought pre-patch was absolutely ridiculous.
I saw a few people on Reddit saying they cruised through the pre patch dlc on ng+8 or whatever and never died. They are either lying or they are absolutely amazing players and more power to em.
Anyway, if anyone was on the fence about getting the DLC I would say you’re good to go now. It’s consistent with the base game.
I just now started playing the Khazan demo. I didn't care for it much at first because it felt like more of a Nioh rip off without the stamina preservation mechanic at first given how you end up gasping for air and vulnerable when you attack with no stamina left. It started clicking once I started using the parry mechanic the way the game intended. The parry window is definitely more lenient than Lies of P. I'll cop the full game later this week. This is an extremely bare bones (but good) souls-like game....but I feel like "Khazan" is worse than this.
There's only really 3 builds, and every weapon (in each category I mean) plays exactly the same. In 2025 that's insane. Also the over reliance on the parry mechanic is silly. "Dark Souls" came out 14 years ago and you could do a parry build, magic build, heavy armor, dual wield, etc.
I played a bit and I agree.
