I know this was a while ago but I had a 1SG when I was in the Army who told me about this story. I went years thinking he was full of shyt. Also lmk Seattle….it’s just like Compton

That story still rings bells for pierce county/tacoma natives.

But hilltop is so gentrified now. Its still very black compared to the rest of the area but its nothing close to what it was in the 80s

I’ve said this before, but Puget sound has no hoods per se but there is still a extremely large education/wealth gap here in the region. Black folks and Mexicans are at the very bottom of the economic ladder here and in regions like Renton, North Seattle, Rainier Valley, White Center, Kent, Tukwila, Tacoma, Everett, Mountlake Terrace, Spanaway and Lakewood is where you see the highest concentrations of fukkery.

Mostly burglary and theft but increasingly gun violence.

And keep in mind that’s me only counting teenagers and young adults who are of the working poor class I’m not counting the fukkery that the transients and addicts contribute to.
