This seems to be the two general candidates for album of the year

I think LIG IS clearly da better album with the better beats and the better lyrics. but i aint tryin to convince anyone of nothing, just want opinions

i think GKMC is a solid album, and im glad a new artist is coming out without changing his sound and getting attention and praise.

But i do feel like interscope has a lot of ppl gassed like LAMAR is da second coming or something.

thoughts?

People said the same thing about Nas when he came out, for the same reasons they say about Kendrick (Except the whole "Not sounding like garbage/selling out tip") so fukk that explosive diarrhea filled with nuts and corn that is the bolded.

To answer your question it's close. I like both albums. Can't choose one over the other.

I like both albums but I'm picking GKMC. The album just feels more rounded. At times on LIG Escobars flow seemed a little off and the album felt too long. I can't blame anyone for choosing LIG cause Kendrick's album is a lot more unconventional and maybe a little too "out there" for traditional fans (urkel voice, pronunciation of words, singing, backseat freestyle). Life is Good was just straight hip-hop, with Nas hurdling over beats but something about it was off.

300 murders a year
i play nas a ton more

some of kendrick hooks are irritating to me and he sounds like a andre 3000 reject on a ton of songs. good album, especially for a debut but he aint touching nasty lyrically and lig is better produced.
