People are getting married at older ages because it takes more time to achieve financial stability in 2022 than it did in 1970 and the number 1 cause for divorce (which is far more rampant in 2022 than it was in 1970) is financial. The wise approach marriage with caution in 2022 whereas in the 70's it was a sure fire thing a 21 year old could handle.

We grew up in a time where going to college can ruin your life, people in 1970's could not fathom college being a vehicle that could potentially financially ruin you. Just think about that for a second.
