My sister works for CPS in Englewood & watching season 4 made me think of what she must face daily... I hope it was extra for dramatic effect, but I've heard the Wire is very realistic....No quotes but S4 tells you everything you need to know about the inner city educational system and how blacks (and Hispanics) are systematically fukked.
I weep for the inner city school system across the nation."Get there early, you never want to be the last man to the party"![]()

As someone who has been involved in the teaching profession I gotta say you're wrong here. I won't argue who has the worst plight overall. But in terms of the school system in this country, blacks and Hispanics are often regulated to the same school districts and subject to the same abuses: stolen education dollars, teachers who don't care, outdated resources, etc. In terms of pure Hispanic districts it boils down to who is controlling the flow of state money. Hispanic districts in Texas and California are getting gutted by racist politicians just as racist politicians gut black Chicago districts. The difference might be that at least in California there are districts where Hispanics exert enough political control to make things better. But TBH to there are black districts like that too.I wish non-blacks would stop comparing everyone to us. No other minority has come into this country and got everything they ever wanted so quickly (hispanics). Stop with this bullshyt narrative that Hispanics are equal to us in oppression. Half of Hispanics can pass as white. No plight compares to black plight.

This isn't about who is worse off. It's about poor black and brown kids being robbed of tax dollars.
