I've heard this for women but being a man myself I experienced the male version of this, nikkas may or may not fw you because you are more fit than them, but they definitely hate if you appear more fly than them. Which leads to the next lesson....

Sometimes family members have to be cut off. Not because you mad at them. But because some are toxic (siblings and sometimes parents) and will disrupt your household (wife kids) for attention or they own personal reasons. People don’t care about you as much as you think and can be very spiteful. They love you for what you add to they life, not because they are overly concerned about yours. So your family (wife and kids) is your only responsibility and priority. Everything else comes second. Just try to live life honorably and help those that will not disrupt your family. But under no circumstances does anyone come before your wife and kids. Not even parents
