It's got nothing to do with Draymond.

Dame was begging Dray to go to Portland not that long ago. The majority of teams would've moved heaven and Earth to get him when he was in his prime.

Their window has closed, it's as simple as that.

Given their extensive dominance, especially in the manner that it unfolded, I can't help but feel no franchise wanted to willingly hand them star players over the last couple of years. They took damaged goods [Wiggins] and turned him into a winning player and won a title. As incompetent as their front office has been, they would've had to fight against the tide of knowing that the rest of the league wouldn't want to help them any longer.
