Durant could possibly end up with more rings but in no universe is he the better player. Because if you're going off of that then Bill Russell is the GOAT.

If Bill Russell played in this era or during Jordan's era he would be considered the GOAT. The only reason people overlook him is cause his rings came in the 50s and 60s.

Just think of Tim Duncan. He's got 5 rings and some think he's better than Kobe and Shaq. Some have him in the top 5-6. Now imagine what they would be saying about him if he had 11 rings?

Bill Russell in this era would easily be considered the GOAT with 11 rings. EASILY.

This whole “rings don’t matter” talk only started coming up once Lebron started loosing I the finals constantly. Prior to that that’s how we determined who was the best.

The 2017 NBA Finals was just stat padding at its finest. LeBron had ZERO impact on that series. Kyrie was more impactful (see Game 4).

In 2018, LeBron only had 1 good game. Game 1. And then he took all the shine from that performance with his pouting at JR Smith after the blunder. Then we also had the "I played with a broken hand" excuse after getting swept.

The last 2 NBA Finals have been EMBARRASSING for LeBron. You can't point at them as a positive on his resume.
