He’s right a bit the best example in the current world is these NBA guys. The smarter ones don’t get tats until they sign nine figure deals off the court and some like Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry had tats in places that were public but easily hidden like where the jersey would cover and on the inside of the arms respectively. Today they may have more visible tats but they have signed more nine and eight figure deals. Face tats are so common place now but they still hold the stigma that you an idiot who doesn’t know how to keep their cards to themselves. A lot of it is ego tho because in certain situations having tats is seen as so bad that knowingly getting them is adding extra pressure to yourself.
I don’t want to get into art and self expression too too much but when you see a tat you’ve seen it dozens if not hundreds of times or something similar that could be copyright infringement to me a big example is the Samoan chest piece the future President Dwayne Johnson has I’ve seen mad people that aren’t of that culture get the same tat and it takes away from the meaning to the people when you put the baby Simba logo over your heart.
Nas said Every tat mean something, that's my word on my body
