I remember before he actually blew up people was on his freestyles heavy in the early YouTube days even in Memphis.

Random but also around that time before soulja boy blew up that nikka stayed beefing with rappers on soundclick. :mjlol:

Your timeline a lil off though brodie. YouTube didn't come out until 05, Flip was already popular back in 2002 on a nationwide level, and ascended to star status in 2004 (even though it was a short-lived stint there.)

His freestyles n shyt were HUGE in the chatroom days though. I was a regular in the AOL chats and we'd be going crazy off all that underground TX shyt way back in the early early 00's.

Actually you're right. I do remember the AOL chat(had a cousin on who stayed on that shyt) days but I barely used it because I was rarely on the internet at the time. His freestyles was indeed on early Youtube though.

He was definitely not the guy to do it though. As a New Yorker I wouldn't put him in the top twenty Southern rappers I think are lyrical. Probably doesn't even make the top ten from Texas either.

Exactly! And Geto Boys been showed the Eastcoast and the rest of the world that the South could rap, followed up with Scarfaceโ€™s solo albums in the early 90โ€™s!
