Using the logic in this thread, the way everyone’s been slurping King’s Disease II, you’d think he’d last longer than THREE WEEKS on the Billboard 200.

Being a lightning rod for discussion doesn’t necessarily lead to sales. Visibility alone doesn’t lead to the first week being insane. Only hip-hop fans place crazy importance on week 1. Meanwhile the top 20-30 mostly has albums that have crazy legs.
False comparison. The mainstream media doesn’t even talk about Nas. Meanwhile LNX is in the mainstream entertainment news almost everyday, in addition to appearing at every awards show.

Except you do care. You said in this thread already that even if he goes platinum it’s a flop because of his first week of which makes no sense. Without Ye and Drake, the best first week this year woulda came off of a redo of an album that dropped 10 years before. If your album has legs, you could do 40K in week 1 like Post Malone did with Stoney and still go triple plat.

All this week should show is that if the Coli thought Lil Nas X was the biggest name in music, unsurprisingly this site was wrong.

Going plat >>>> selling a lot in week 1 and then falling off a cliff.

I don’t care it’s the people who care for sales first week that do. I don’t listen to this dudes music so he’s not in my radar.

The mainstream talks about $uicide Boys$? No. Somehow they're on the charts longer than Nas. Lil Tecca all over your timeline? Probably not. MO3 ain't all on the news and that's cuz he's dead and he as a super regional act can stay longer than 3 weeks.

Getting publicity doesn't mean what it used to. Like I said already, there's artists who are bigger than him who don't do a fraction of what he does for attention (since not all attention is good attention). Your face will be out there, but that doesn't guarantee anything.

The mainstream media has done nothing but talk about Nicki Minaj this week. That's not gonna translate into anything for her sales.

This is my take from this…. For the folks that believe that the LBBQ folks taking over this is CLEAR that they aren’t. That’s a small fraction of people… and if the “Agenda” shyt was really LIKE that they would’ve manipulated them streams and made him do NUMBERS.

That'll be the excuse they'll use when he's still charting high 3 months from now.

Sales in rap has always been dictated by the young and/or white crowd. I honestly never heard of any of those acts you’re naming. I’m also black and in my 30s though.

This man had an extreme marketing push, was constantly making headlines everywhere the last 2 years, was at every award show, trolling everyone and everything, had multiple top 5 hits and he can't even crack 200k in his debut? The industry plant has underperformed.
Lets hope and pray for 25K and even less next year.

I would love to see how much this fakkit is gettin paid for all this stupidity.

Would also love to see the marketing budget spent on this fruit.

:mjlol::mjlol: 150k is now a flop for a young up and coming rapper.

Y’all nikkas really create your own narratives when it comes to artists y’all like or dislike
