His sales equate to the margin of the gay population that will listen….. it doesn’t matter if you put lipstick on a pig (no pun intended :dame:) it’s still a pig…….

Average listeners are not bumpin his music….. not alone and CERTAINLY
NOT WIT THEY KIDS:camby:

He’ll be coddled and taken care of by the labels and handlers tho…..

Retweets and going viral doesn’t always equate to real life popularity lol. But 150 isn’t a flop by any means. Dude only has one project out besides this and was a nobody three years ago.

I swear y’all nikkas just switch up on here….y’all was saying Baby and Durk album was a flop for doing 158K but now Lil Nas X(who had a whole fake pregnancy album rollout:mjlol:)is doing good numbers:russ:
Durk and Baby did good numbers and have been selling consistently every week since release. That’s the point we’re trying to make. Nas X is going to be doing 50-90k weekly for a couple months straight. If you think that’s bad you aren’t paying attention to the sales charts.

It’s not 2003 anymore. First week isn’t as important unless you’re a top tier artist (Drake, Kdot, Cole, Travis) which he isn’t. The successful projects sell well for months.

Music was a lot better when the "fans" didn't give a shyt about how much something sold. Everyone's a laptop A&R now, lol. And literally don’t know a thing about the business. "First week this, first week that". Nobody cared about any of this shyt before, unless they actually worked at a label.

This is really what helped in killing quality drops. When the industry got everyone more concerned with numbers, than the actual music, shyt got weaker.

No one cares about sales in real life

150k sounds about right from what I'd expect for him. Also his marketing isn't that expensive because he just does shyt to go viral and get people talking which they are. And he's also going to be more of a singles artists. I guarantee a few songs on that album will get 300+ million streams within a year or so. His label is definitely eating well off him.

Ummm... His shyt goes viral AND his marketing is SUPER expensive!!!
Maybe you don't realize it but music videos take money to make, and many of his new music videos from this album are SUPER EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!
Literally I don't think ANY other rapper right now has his budget, not even Drake.
Show me a Drake music video that looks as or even nearly as expensive as Lil Nas's most expensive looking videos.
