Some rappers, elite hooks is all they can do, Wayne mastered a lot of parts of the game which most haven't came close to. Even rappers like Biggie and Pac haven't really did that.

Weezy has NEVER released a song that's more than, say... 6/10. Especially compared to guys like Nas, Jay-Z, even Prodigy who frequently released 10/10 songs.

Newsflash: Great shyt stands out. Every time. We may not all agree that it's great and great in the exact same way, but it's usually pretty obvious that it's great. Especially over time. Natural consensus tends to form around these things.

Just because you were breastfed to BMJR and it wowed you doesn't mean it wowed anyone else but you and a couple stans. Wayne is competing against rappers that have wowed all types of people, even people who love hip hop but may not care much for dude's discog.

Perfect example is KRS-1. I'm not a huge KRS fan and I barely listen to him. But he has a number of songs that wow the shyt out of me.

When you're dope, you're dope. Hip hop makes it really easy for people to recognize. Stop making excuses.
