His four year run in the aughts can't be ignored. Huge influence. If I remember correctly made 77 guest appearances in 2007 alone, ANY rapper would want that look. His jail stint in 2010 hurt him and since then he's shown glimpse of greatness but it's been hot and cold for him. Mostly cold to lukewarm.

So yeah he's a contender but the old heads will always be there to say no.
