music theory, polyphonic, blah blah.

Music is about soul, cac. That's the depth. Any lame can talk technical shyt if they study it. There's a substantial amount of people who know way more music theory than your average hip hop producer, and yet can never make a dope beat to save their lives.

This isn't to disrespect those who study music for real. I have a huge respect for it. But the point stands: if Wayne impresses you more than KRS-1, hip hop depth just aint your thing.

Hip hop might not be your thing, period.
Ofc music is about soul as a fan and someone who studies music Im able to articulate the intricacies of what u consider soul

Wayne impresses me more than Krs and it says nothing bout my "hip hop depth", whatever thte fck that means
Depth is depth nikka
And I can recognize and speak on the depths of this genre's musical characteristics..

Im no cac, dnt pull that funny sht on me nikka just cuz I study a form of entertainment I love,
But if you're gonna be goin around callin mufckaz shallow and sht u better be rdy to speak some depth or u expose urself as a clown
Period...if u dnt even understand musical depth as it pertains to both vocals and instrumentation how in da fck u gon be telling who's shallow and whos deep
Thats clown shyt nikka

Like I said...and Ima keep saying it..U and the ruler 09 are exactly the same minus a few differences tru tingz

Over all your delusional if you dont give wayne a top 10 spot. Honestly he can really get top 5. If wayne would have died after carter one nikka's would have easily put him on that pac, and biggie pedestal.

He's been rapping since 9 and joined a record label at 10

How many rappers have had a word or "term" they created added to the dictionary?
bling-bling | flashy jewelry worn especially as an indication of wealth broadly : expensive and ostentatious possessions

Wayne single handily imo changed the course of hiphop by letting white people flood in. White people loved wayne for a long time.

Even though he's fallen off, all he needs is one hot song and album to be right back on.

Dude has a legacy behind him, more than dmx, or Lupe or whatever more lyrical rapper might be your favorite.

Again breh, you stuck on meaningless technical shyt. Depth is not technique. Depth is the intent and soul within the human expression. The storytelling, the intellect, the emotion, the mental link to the societal and personal, etc.

You exposed yourself right off the bat talking about polyphonic. shyt that's fukking irrelevant to hip hop.

Hip hop is the culture of do-it-yourself (or at least, it used to be). We don't give a fukk about music theory because hip hop is way too urgent for that. It's a gut reaction. That's what makes hip hop powerful.

We can use music theory to enhance that gut reaction but at the end of the day, great hip hop has always been about 'gut'.

Hip hop is also very intellectual. You have to make profound music for someone to put you in that top 10 category.

If you find Wayne more profound than KRS-1, you're not that bright. Sorry breh. I'm not gonna sugarcoat it for you.

"Technical"
Nikka heres ur damn problem
Im not bringing up music theory as it relates to the artist
Im bringing it up to further articulate the natural advantage we have when it comes to creating great music

U dnt need to learn music theory in order to make great music but naturally all great artists apply it
and asthe Fan Im articulating that to showcase the depth created by the creator of a piece
"Hip hop is also very intilectial"
This statement sounds nice but what u meant by that statement mirrors how cacs feel
Because cacs suck at applying music theory as it applies to hip hop nor are they able to naturally recognize it without study, they will usually turn to an 100% focus on language.
Which is why they end up stanning mufckaz like eminem or canibus or the like because those are examples of rappers who appeal to the cacs that adopt ur mindset of "fck all that music theory shyt, the words is all that counts"

My posts are actually proving my mindset on our music to be less cac-like than you because music theory focuses on the musical aspects that influence our movement or the vibrations of the artists in our genre
Your mindset is to dismiss all that and while doing that ur dismissing the very "soul" aspect u keep bringing up

Im not bright, yet ur the one who cant even explain the depth in which he tries to push off as a "matter of fact"

This whole post will prolly go over ur head as u will most likely respond with something like
"bubu hip hop is about soul fck music theory thats technique thats not depth"
and not realizing music theory is used in this case to articulate "the vibrations" within our music
not an attempt to discuss the technical aspects..im only apply proper vocabulary to the concepts that influence you subconsciously

At any rate bottom line
Wayne impresses me more than Krs-1
U cant keep on with you the ruler 09 diatribes about me not being real hip hop cuz i dnt feel k rin....i mean Krs 1 and i cant expect any less..just like ruler, u cant articulate nor can you intilectually discuss a topic worth a damn but at the same time u see urself as some "deep" "real" "hip hop head"

Nah homie holla at me when u actually rdy to discuss depth

you're rambling and saying a whole lot of nothing.

but let's move on. You saw Wayne impresses you more than KRS. OK.... let's battle. I'm willing to be proven wrong on this.

Here's a KRS track. Find me a Wayne track that's as impressive:
