This may be an unpopular opinion but I think The Carter V is better than the Carter 3:yeshrug:

And I'm not counting the C3 leaks either.

The Carter 2
The Carter
The Carter V
The Carter III
The Carter IV

That's how I would rank the series.

With C5, Wayne showed growth and finally accepted being the old head/OG in the game. The rapping seemed effortless, had great energy, constantly switched up flows, his voice sounded good no slurring, didn't go crazy with the autotune, more clever bars instead of weak punchlines related to sex.

Again, he could had gotten stronger production and trimmed down the album to make it more cohesive but I think the album flows really well giving it has 23 songs. The most impressive thing for me is that Wayne kept my attention for the duration of the album.

The album started off well and ended well. I'm just glad to see Wayne get his moment and appreciation for what he's done for Hip-Hop. With lyrcisim becoming more obselete in the game, Wayne is needed.
No way in hell V is better than III, just based off of hits alone it blows V outta the water

Wayne sounds great on this shyt. As good as in any year in his prime.
His lyricism was refreshing creative and playful.
In that rare space of being an respected OG able incorporate current flows and trends and not come off as the old :flabbynsick: nikkas in the club.
Album really cemented his legendary status.
Just had to remind the old nikkas, and let the young nikkas know:youngsabo:
