Lillard just got the best of Kyrie again -- is he (Kyrie) as good as you thought?

What's with all these "Kyrie vs." threads??

The Cavs are poorly constructed and dysfunctional, and the Blazers actually have cohesive talent surrounding Lillard.

LEAVE KYRIE ALONE

You know what motivates athletes? Belief in their teammates and coach, and evidence that they are good enough to win consistently. Kyrie has none of that.

I don't agree with this. I moreso believe it's that a team cannot win with the point guard being the #1 scoring option. I think the Clips can get it done because while CP3 is their best player, Blake is the #1 scoring option. Same thing with those later era big 3 Celtics when Rondo was the best player on the team.

Those celtics never won with Rondo as the best player. When KG, Pierce, and Ray allen started to get old and Rondo had to carry the load and was the best player, they were getting knocked out of the playoffs. They were best when PP was the best player on the team.

The Clips are in a similar situation. When the playoffs come around and the defense improves, Blake Griffin just hasn't shown that he can dominate in a half court offensive situation. If that is still the case come playoff time and the Clips rely on CP3 for everything, another second round exit is heading in their direction.

I don't get it. People shat on Wall when it was painfully obvious that he played with inadequate talent. But Kyrie gets a pass. :what:

If he's so much better than his peers then he should constantly put his team in position to win. He don't do that.

Kyrie's first game back - 17 points on 87% shooting, 8 assists. Team assists = 28. Winning margin = 21 points. Biggest winning margin since Kyrie got injured in the Clippers game.
