And my point is; that's racist.

Slavery. Discrimination. Being trapped in fukking ghettos. Being labeled as a contaminated to wealth to the point housing goes down or up based on our presence or absence.

Ya'll come up with these numbers in a vacuum.

Hit me back with expenses and actual calculation.

Stop with bullshyt, racist nonsense that we spend our money on weed, Jordans and weaves.

Do you do this?

Do you know anyone who does this?

Again, more of this; if you by nothing my bread and water, you should be a millionaire talk than no one on thecoli ever has to actually prove.

A lot of these "ideas" don't pass the smell test.

We talking living like worms, when the people who apparently "just save up and don't spend" always leave out big ass pieces to their stories and got us looking at each other like; :dahell:

:yeshrug:Ya'll win, black people have horrible culture and should just get over racism, the legacy of slavery, and stop making excuses.
I do for the most part. Tiny house. Used reliable cars. Lived at home til I was done with school. My parents did the same so they could retire by 50 and we're all ADOS.
And yeah I know a laotion family that's like 14 people in a 3 bedroom house in LA. A shytload of Mexicans and West Indians too.

Some of us do it, but more of us need to start.

If anyone is on the “money” part of Twitter or Instagram, they got some really dope people to follow who drop gems. I found some of my group on there.

We gotta change the narrative, y’all. For me it was learning the basics of credit, accounting and strategy once you get the money. It’s out here brehs

You got some of those twitter handles or instagram handles?

Not having children out of wedlock is important as well, and those immigrants get married, and that helps financially as well.

We have brehs on here talking about GMB. Marriage can be two adults working together to build, but we want to focus on the negative potential.

We also have parents kicking their kids out, and they get jobs and apartments, and don’t save enough to purchase homes. Then when they start working full time and make some decent money, here comes the new cars, and watches, and the $400 weaves, the nails, the Jordans, and going out every week.

Meanwhile, those Asians are working at their stores on the weekend.

We tend to value short term gratification over long term consequences.

$30 a month on gym membership, but no insurance policies, or property to pass down to children.

How many brehs get a significant amount of money garnished for child support? That makes it even more difficult to save. But hey, keep nutting raw.

:unimpressed:

Yeah, there are a lot of factors that contributed to the current state of the black community, but a lot of things can be solved by us, and not the government.

There have been threads about black businesses having bad customer service, and that may be true sometimes, but what other group of people would ever stop supporting their own? Nobody else gives up on their own people.

Haitians do this too.
Of all Black people, Haitians are the best at it. Igbos are the WORST. Maybe our generation is dope at it but my dad's generation was trash. Everyone wanting to stunt at all costs on the next. Most of my generation don't give a fukk about that, we try to get it. As for my Louisiana folks, it's more individual-based. A lot of people don't want to own their own shyt. Some just want to work a 9 to 5 as long as it's a good job. Obviously those who lack a good job are more willing to want to do the group thing but a lot don't have the talent or skill-set to effectively run a business. I know a lot of Black folks are struggling but in my family, I don't see too many doing that bad and the ones who are, aren't that good or talented and clearly aren't the business types. I think Black folks understate this. A lot of immigrants don't have the same opportunities which leads them into ownership due to a lack of options. The issue obviously is capital for legal Blacks. Things have improved in the last 10 to 15 years though compared to how it was in the 70's and 80's which my pops went through. My mom never had the issues my dad has with far less education.

It’s all the same idea though. Not all contribute to your cause and ideas with money...

the idea of group economics extends beyond cash capital, imho.

^This

Hell a mentor who is going to put you on game free of charge is group economics. A person who will give you their contacts for business dealings is group economics.

There are some legit setbacks out there that you can and will encounter, but at the end of the day you just can't give up. Everyone path is different. Some peoples goals and dreams are bigger than the next person's so they might take a lil while longer to get there. Success is not a race unless you make it one.

You can only do so much as a single person, so eventually you'll have to find your group. The thing is, the group is usually easier to find once your established or started building toward your goal on your own. You'll attract more people to what your doing once you actually start doing it. I for one don't like hearing nikkas explain ideas to me that they haven't started on yet.

I run a boxing website along with a podcast now with several fellow coli members that been going on strong since 2018. It would have prolly never came together if wasn't for us each doing our own thing from years earlier. Shoutouts to @patscorpio We added more nikkas and some panned out while some didn't, but nothing stopped us from creating the team we have now. When you truly believe in something you make it work. We set up the structure, built goals, shared responsibilities, put our own time and money in it, and etc...Doing all this helped us attend free boxing matches, meet other interesting/talented people, and even meet boxing legends before they passed on (Sweet Pea). All of this while having fun with it too.

Team work makes the dream work, but you gotta respect the process. Its not for everyone. :manny:

Yall act like black folks haven't tried "group economics for the past 160 years.

Like all our efforts haven't been crushed. It's fair to directly compare our economic situation to immigrants who have totally different situations (and who are getting government aid to startup please believe).

These immigrants were setting up shop in the 70's while black folks were getting sold "do for self" politics when we never had the capital to "do for self". We should not have to pool our money together like undocumented people under the radar. We (ADOS blacks) should have prosperous banks to support business endeavors.

Why we don't have capital or strong black banks.

This is how they buy multiple brownstones in Brooklyn, in their kids name.

The Arab community also has a system like this for bodegas.

Thought this was known.
Black people ran with the government loan conspiracy cause alot of us can't even imagine this level of community partnership :dead:

I think this is why chinese take out spots always rotate owners like every 5-10 yrs. The previous owners essentially retire and just pass the business to another member of the community co-op , probably selling the shyt at a discount :wow:

im pretty sure these community loans dont involve 100% of the people from their home countries. these immigrants are typically coming from some of the most disciplined and capitalized segments of the society they came from and they share the same agenda of succeeding in a foreign country. they dont expect the ratchets and conmen of seoul or beijing to do right by them.

when people try to question why ADOS dont do this, they have to acknowledge that we have practically no class stratification due to our unique history here, so we would have to go through the step of creating something akin to class stratification so that there is more trust and purpose. hotep ADOS do this with crowd funding like with dr umar's "school". if there was something like hoteps but with business minded people, it might work. might be easiest to do it at a black church as long as the preacher isnt an eddie long type.

Also we are american. Most these foreigners come here as a goal to do as well as they can to go back home
Or to bring there family from home and bring them here.

It would be the equivalent of an expat working for a big time american company in a foreign country. Then criticizing the people in that country for how they live.

IMO people who leave their homes to go away to another country to work, live get educated are wired differently. Their outlook is totally different than other folks.

Its like kats who take a job in indian ocean on a oil rig and makes 200k in a year. Or a guy who takes a 300k a year job in iraq. Them kats look at living in another country as a means to an end and are wired totally differently than a person who lives in that country.

Also we got to stop comparing the best of the best another country has to offer to a regular person from this country. Cause some of these folks who setting up shop here are folks who were business owners (and highly educated) from the country they came from.
