Just the typical Coli mob. None of these guys actually want Caldwell to be their team's coach.

I don't think anybody in the team thread was upset about him being fired. He wasn't the guy to get over the hump. I also think there was only one or two who actually liked the Patricia hire. Most of us were very opposed to it and the majority of us wanted Teryl Austin to get that spot.

I know it's wrong, but I laughed hard asf when i read the title. Duke aint headcoaching ever again

It's absolutely NOT wrong to laugh at him being fired when he's as arrogant and disrespectful as he is. If he was just a poor coach or a coach in a bad situation, that would be one thing. However, he is a condescending prick that has never accomplished anything at the NFL level without BeliGOAT holding his hand. Don't sit there and disrespect reporters by telling them "I know about performing in 4th quarters. I had one of the biggest players in Super Bowl history" when you're asked why you struggle in the 4th quarter. Don't tell reporters to "sit up and stop slouching" and to "show some respect" when you are the definition of a BUM!

I really can't stand this guy.

Giants actually hired a good coach from the Beli coaching tree.

Honestly, it's the ones that don't get as much "shine" that have done better recently from the BeliGOAT coaching tree.

Judge and Flores both went into disaster/semi-disaster situations and have been making significant progress, regardless of record, although the Dolphins record is pretty good so far.

O'Brien and Patricia are arguably two of the worst coaches I've EVER had the displeasure of watching. It's hard for me to find ten coaches worse than them since 1990.

:mjpls:

Mediocre white men dominate the coaching profession. There’s not a single job in the US where working 15-16 hours a day is considered normal or effective, yer that’s what NFL coaches do daily. These mediocre white coaches are then rewarded for their “hard work” by constantly being promoted up the coaching ranks. They’re often considered geniuses by the sports media, which is full of former coaches. In short it’s one big scam to get wack white dudes paid.

Patriots really seem to attract social outcasts and retards who can’t have a human conversation but can parrot some strategy thoughts Bill Belichick once expressed.

THIS

That Patriot Way bullshyt works with a future HOF at QB. And Beli is an actual genius....all his lil flunkies arent

You have to connect with your players and not be on some dictator shyt

Exactly.

If you're the GOAT coach and have the GOAT QB with an owner that doesn't get involved in personnel decisions every day, you can be a little abrasive, although if you listen to most of the post game conferences, Belichick is not as abrasive as the media makes him seem. He almost always answers questions, and has his own t.v. segment each week, breaking down plays. It's amazing.:wow:.

But, when you're a certified BUM like O'Brien and especially Patricia, players aren't going to let you disrespect them. BeliGOAT has gotten MANY players rings and PAYDAYS! Players might tolerate a little more "strict" culture at times if they know they are going to end up winning and getting paid.

Isn't that good though? He got to eat off that extension money

To me if I'm looking at it from a GM standpoint, it's a dumb move b/c it's money that the team could have saved. The NBA has a habit of doing this crazy shyt as well.

bruh you really typed that like Saban gets blown out in every championship game. He only got “undressed” in one championship game.

He beat LSU 21-0
beat Notre Dame 42-14

5 star guys wasn’t coming to Bama before Saban got there, so that recruit comment is false as well. LSU wasn’t getting elite players either till Saban was there

Saban has 5 titles, & his teams are a threat
to win the National title every season.

idk why you listed Saban with the other Belichick failures.
Guy really said that the coach who has had the most dominant stretch in CFB history & one of the most in sports history is “tricky” :heh:. Like Georgia & Texas don’t get good recruits all the time yet have 1 combined title in the past 25 years.

Caldwell was the best Lions coach I've seen. When he had a talented Lions team they went 11-5 and lost that Cowboys game. When he had mediocre teams, he got 7, 8 , 9 wins. He got what he should out of the talent he had.

The Lions got jerked in the playoffs vs the Cowboys

That game was some bullsh1t. Lions could've gone to (probably not won though) the Super Bowl that year. They were 1-1 vs GB and had the #1 rushing defense by far, they had a good chance vs Seattle.

They backed into the playoffs that year they went 9-7, but that wasn't a super talented team that should've done more. 9-7 and a playoff appearance for that roster was pretty good. The year Caldwell did have a talented team that he should've done something with, he did. Schwartz had the Lions team with a lot of talent for 4 years but only put together 1 good season.

Real reason they fell off a cliff is bob Quinn. Don’t matter if Caldwell was the coach or Patricia cause Quinn drafts and free agents was terrible. Martin Mayhew had some talent on the roster.

True, Mayhew drafted better and made better free agency moves.

What decent coaching prospect gonna go there....if I'm Bienemy, it's a hard pass:camby:
If only because you see how fans reacted to Caldwell's firing by claiming he wasn't getting them to the next level as if the Lions are a perennial title contender.

It's like a bum being mad you bought him McDonald's instead of filet mignon.
