As a kid, I was indifferent to Left Eye’s verses but listening back to songs now as an adult, I think she was pretty dope. Her verse on Big Willie Style is cold and I prefer the version of U Know What’s Up with her verse. I think she getting better as a rapper just before she died because those early TLC verses are still just ok.

Big Willie Style damn, she killed that track.....and Will Smith....sometimes feels like she chose collabs she knew she could embarrass just to stand out

She called her 80's-early 90's style riddles "Sam I Am" style rapping, that hip hop hippity hop shyt. Wasn't bad just had a lot of flowery wordplay, the lyrical miracle deal.. She pretty much had to leave that when they started CrazySexyCool, but she replaced it with the chipmunk voice she barely used before.

Far as I know, she never worked hard at progressing, she just switched up how she rapped by whatever she felt like sounding at the moment..
