You're right, it wasn't a bad album just not as good as the ones she led IMO

Thing is, she planned 3D's direction too but of course couldn't follow it through.. Her intention was to show that none of them were celebrity caricatures like a lotta people were feeling (CrazySexyCool), but that they were all regular women like anyone else with complicated personalities.. That's what the name came from.

They took her Supernova vocals and that was weird... But the worst is they took her typical Left Eye lyrics like "Left Pimpin" that she left off Supernova on purpose, she was trying to show she was more than that

I think they used the bits and pieces of “left pimpin” brilliantly on Quickie. That and “girl talk” were the two tracks they got right. Lisa came up with the concepts for all their albums (fanmail being my favorite and hate that she’s only on 6 of the 18 tracks) The 3D era really lacked direction without Lisa and it showed. Too many cooks (producers) in the kitchen and the album lacked a cohesive sound. It sounds like a collection of songs instead of a TLC album. And don’t get me started on that bullshyt they put out last year...I dunno what that was. Tboz and Chilli singing songs that randoms wrote and produced

You can play a Will Smith jam today and it still sounds fresh... Lot of what plays today will be outdated in the future. Maybe because like on Millionaire, more rappers back then actually cared about doing shyt for black people

No, she actually felt something bad might happen to her, watch the documentary again. She said she felt like a spirit was chasing her and she even hit a boy with the last name Lopez a week before she died in a different accident. shyt is real creepy.

Another thing I read in an article was that according to her mother she dreamed about her own death and even thought she had the exact date and everything, she was wrong on the date but she still died. Her mom also dreamed about her death and she did think something was going to happen to one of the girls in Egypt as well but that's in addition to the stuff about her own death. I think one of them is actually wheelchair bound from that accident they went through.

She didn't mean a spirit of death was literally chasing her.. She did not believe familiar spirits could influence the physically living, but she did feel like she was figuratively cursed at times... This and her spiritual beliefs was from long before the doc was filmed tho, that was just when she said it on film for everyone to see how serious she was

It's just that she stopped caring because she knew it didn't matter....if she was gonna die, she was gonna die. She wasn't gonna let it disrupt her life.. I've had many dreams about my death too, and I'm sure we all did. It's nothing "prophetic" about it.

It's amazing that T Melle almost did die and survived, she was the one in the chair I think, but Lisa didn't predict her to be the one that died.. Really these were dreams she was having because she was fasting so much she was hyper alert, mentally spiritually physically.. Lisa wasn't running from the Left Eye act but she wanted to show the world there was more to her than that.. They had all her Supernova vocals to work with if they really wanted to take those, but they only took like two positive verses and played the same old "crazy" lines she wrote and left out of Supernova on purpose everywhere else

Just wasn't respectful, but I get TC probably didn't even realize what they were doing cuz they were always late to "get the picture" compared to her.. Also shows how she should get more credit as a producer, she made her own demos before the 1st album, she made suggestions they took for the 1st album's production, and she literally hands on helped produce the 2nd and 3rd and 4th album, Dallas said she got involved in everything even if they didn't want her to.. Not as a credited/paid producer, just because she wanted some beats to go a certain way and she knew how to produce.

It seems that way to me, she was literally in the fetal position looking scared, I'm watching it now on youtube. Another thing is her brother said in an interview how she wore all white in the morning and all black in the afternoon or something like that on the day she died. From what I know she took on a lot of new age beliefs before she died and this is shown in one of the bonus video to the documentary where her and the company she had around her were doing some kind of wonky new age exercise program that they were laughing at while doing because it was outrageous but Lisa was trying to be serious about it. She was very into numerology and stuff like that too.

According to her own mother she had the exact date she was going to die but was wrong on it and when the day came and went she let it go thinking it wasn't going to happen. Her mother also had dreams of her death and the boy with a similar last name being hit by her vehicle was also strange imo. It seemed quite prophetic like to me and very creepy. Another thing that happened was one of the members of her entourage had left the village in Honduras early because she said the air felt thick like spirits were around due to the fact that there were deaths in the village of people who went there for healing but were unsuccessful.

I take it you didn’t like Fanmail? What are the weaker tracks in your opinion. I love Lisa the alternative rap stuff she was trying to do wasn’t exactly receptive to the casual listener and average TLC fan. I did love Supernova but the sound was def for a niche audience...if that’s what she was going for. But she wanted commercial success as a solo artist
