* The Naked Truth -- Lil' Kim
* Trill OG -- Bun B

:heh:

They definitely didn't deserve to be their. Kim probably sucked her way on the list but ion know how they put Bun up there. I think 50 should have got 5 mics in The Source but that's when they were beefing with Eminem I guess. And I think Thug Motivation 101 has an argument to being a 5 mic album or an having an XXL rating.

Where is the link to these lists you posted?

I see albums on here that I don't remember getting 5 mics and XXL wasn't even being published when some of those albums come out...

ok did a little research The Source - The Complete List Of 5 Mic Hip-Hop Classics

apparently the source went back and gave out some 5 mics years after the albums already were rated lower than 5 mics... anyone on that list with a star is NOT an original 5 mic album...

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
and the same thing happened with XXL

XXL rates albums from "S" (poor) to "XXL" (classic). Editors have initially awarded XXL status to only nine albums:

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill by Lauryn Hill
The Blueprint by Jay-Z
Get Rich or Die Tryin' by 50 Cent
Be by Common
Late Registration by Kanye West
Hell Hath No Fury by Clipse
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy by Kanye West
Life Is Good by Nas
good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar

A later issue in December 2007 re-rated and retroactively rated some albums and gave XXLs to:[9]

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) by Wu-Tang Clan
Illmatic by Nas
The Diary by Scarface
The Infamous by Mobb Deep
All Eyez on Me by 2Pac
Reasonable Doubt by Jay-Z
The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory by 2Pac
Life After Death by The Notorious B.I.G.
2001 by Dr. Dre
The Marshall Mathers LP by Eminem
The Lost Tapes by Nas
The College Dropout by Kanye West

AEOM was not trash, yall nikkas are - i hate to use it - HATING right there. I can see saying it wasn't 5 Mics ( I even feel that way), but it's 4-4.5 easily. LAD wasn't classic either, so stop.

none of the hip hop double albums were classic....but aeom wasn't even the best of that bunch. LAD and Wu Forever weren't nearly as boring as aeom that shyt dragged on like a fukk.

2001 - Dr. Dre is NOT a 5 mic album. 4.5 definitely but not 5 mics.

Why the fukk did this get re-issued tho and not Midnight Marauders? :why:
