would you consider her R&B or just a ballad singer like Celine Dion? I'm willing to fall back :yeshrug:
You're dead on about this :lupe: Never even thought of it that way. She has no rhythm to her songs. It's just straight ballad, anyone with a voice can carry those tracks (not saying she doesn't have an amazing voice) but yeah.

Fall back off Winehouse, she's pure soul. There's no question.

Youll really dont understand the real meaning of a culture vulture

White rappers and soul singer's are powerless artist just doing what they love.

Culture vultures are usually old white jewish men eating off of a certain genre specifically (soul, r&b, rock & roll & hip hop) that they no nothing about and hate.

:comeon:I disagree but...

You can't be a culture vulture if your passionate about your craft whether you're a rapper or a singer.

I agree with this to some degree which I why I don't group Keith Richard types

with Pat Boone types

.

...but Keith Richard types are still being culture vultures but with respect:ehh:

action bronson grew up in queens (the most non-segregated, racially diverse county in the whole country) listening to wu-tang, in an income-based housing development around graff writers and dudes who made their living off of boosting north faces and polo. its no wonder the dude is influenced by the Wu and what he was around. can't say there is a culture vulture thing about him, but people on here stay hating because he's white. that's facts.

:dahell: r the hip hop culture vulture defender? let me guess, ur white?

fukk that albanian f@ggot

People like Bieber, Vanilla ice, Timberlake, Pink and several others are culture vultures. It ain't just the higher ups.:aicmon:

What the hell are you talking about?

If you're using other ethnic or social groups language, fashion, or art to build an identity for yourself then that makes you a culture vulture.

All that other nonsense you're talking about is irrelevant.:camby:

fukk out of here shythead if those artist you mentioned are culture vultures then so are the black people that cosigned them and gave them their starts

Vanilla ice was into hip hop long before he became famous. The man was on tour with public enemy and battled willie d dude was active and was very passionate about hip hop

Plus the real culture vulture was his chinese manager who was originally behind the fake ass background story

Bieber pink & timberlake were all cosigned and brought up by black people :camby:

Cosigned by black people.:mjlol:

They made money off of those artists. The black people that made money off of them wouldn't be culture vultures. They would be greedy people that know how the benefits of white privilege works.

Just because these culture vultures get a cosign by black people doesn't exempts them from being labeled culture vultures dumbass.

Correct me if I'm wrong, feel free to add to the lists.

Hip Hop:

Asher Roth
Mac Miller
Drake ?

I wouldn't say these are vultures, you might not like their music or feel their image is corny/phony/lame but they obviously love and were raised by the culture :manny:vultures = People who not really of it picking something up all of a sudden and acting like they are. Asher Roth is still rapping after how many years now of having -1000 relevancy?

And you can't really "vulture" r&b that's a style of singing/music not a culture :heh: you might say they're biting the sound (which I mean even then is :comeon:) but there's nothing there to vulture. Some of you need to know the difference between appropriation and vulturing
