I typed the wrong album in my post.

So Tical went plat
Tical 2000 went plat
Blackout went Plat
Tical 0 went gold...but this was 10 yrs ago, so maybe is passed the threshold. The certification date was less than 7 months after it's release. (I see may 18, 2004 on the link)

I dunno, because they said their source was RIAA and not something else, so I don't know what other album it could be.

Didn't blackout go double?

Salt-N-Pepa's fourth studio album Very Necessary was released in October 1993 on London Records/Polygram. The album featured songwriting and production by Salt, Pepa, Spinderella, and Azor. Buoyed by the hits "Shoop" (US #4, UK #13), co-produced by Pepa; "Whatta Man" (US #3, UK #7) (featuring En Vogue); and "None of Your Business", a Top 40 US hit and a Top 20 UK hit, the album eventually sold seven million worldwide, with five million of those in the US (5x platinum), making them the first female rap act (solo or group) to have a multi-platinum selling album.

"platinum" has always been a joke when they are going off "shipped" and not scanned. aside from that they were mailing plaques when sales was at like 800k

Frankly, I have no idea who DJ Magic Mike is, and I also didn't realize that Bone Thugs had six platinum albums, which trumps Biggie’s four.
I'm surprised Magic Mike is only on there once. I know it was reported that he had five gold records and one plat way back in the day but maybe they could have being talking about gold singles. Otherwise I would think at least one went past the plat mark by now of the five gold. I think Bass is the name of the game was the one that was already plat at the time it was reported.

Lil Jon was directly influenced by Dj Magic Mike just to name one person. Alot of Miami Bass stayed in Miami but Magic Mike was one of the few to spread out everywhere. If you look at the list only 2 Live Crew and 69 Boyz have one listed as well. Magic Mike has probably sold more records than them too because he has dropped way more records. Dare I say Magic Mike is the most successful Miami Bass artist? :jbhmm: I would be curious to see the statistics on that. I'm sure you had cats selling more singles but not albums.
Bone w/ twice as many platinum plaques as Wu-Tang....cacs :umad:
:sas2:
A lot of this has to do with the process of certification and labels paying the RIAA. I mean albums like Only Built 4 Cuban Linx (1.3 million sales as of 2009) still don't have Platinum status in the RIAA database.
:salute:
List is inaccurate as hell.
