He said certain leaders should be infallible

I lost a lot of respect for KRS over this.....and it made me suspect of him....

The first thing he said was “Don’t link this situation to HipHop” then proceeds to tell people “If you believe this is true then get out of HipHop”

:gucci:

Sir,You are batshyt crazy.

The Ciara thing i remember. There was a story that she admitted to being a hermaphrodite on Oprah and half my damn High School believed that shyt.

Of course it wasn’t true. So that wasn’t something that was “swept under the rug” it was just an untrue stupid rumor
Til this day dumb nikkas will look you dead in the eye and tell a bold face lie saying they seen the Tommy Hilfiger episode of Oprah where he said he doesn't want blacc ppl wearing his clothes

Just because it didn't affect his career doesn't mean it was swept under the rug. And what I mean by it wasn't swept under the rug, this wasn't something that was only covered by The Source. Every Hip Hop outlet and even the Pop media covered the issue. I remember "Foolish Pride" was played on air for people to hear what Eminem said. They had callers weigh in. The DJ's even weighed in. The story ran its course, but like everything else it became a non factor once the next big story became the hot topic. In Eminem's case, Aftermath and G- Unit had all these beefs that were gaining legs every other day. There was the beef with Ja and Murder Inc. The little skirmishes with Royce. There's Eminem being tapped by Afeni to do some music for the Resurrection project, which believe it or not was also used to combat accusations of Eminem being racist.

Also, what really got swept under the rug was what Eminem was saying on "Without Me". Literally NOBODY talks about that. That and Eminem's alleged Black girlfriend got brushed aside.

I don't think "Without Me" was supposed to be taken seriously. It was the lead single of his album, and back then, a lot of what he said was just meant to get a reaction. That's why he made songs like "Criminal" and "Who Knew."

In that song, it sounds like he's mocking the people who believe in that mindset. That he only got into hip hop for the money and not for the art, which is untrue. It's the same attitude that led him to make "The Way I Am." Like he was saying, "If you really think I exploited black music for my own selfish gain, then I guess I did. But you can't find anyone better to replace me."

I think "White America" is a more serious look at how Eminem sees himself in hip hop.
