Love the album. With race issues getting a lot of press today the album is even more relevant. Funny cuz besides the press the title got I don't really remember ppl feeling it when it dropped. I remember Fox News and other media outlets were bytching about the title and nas had to change it.

I just burnt my American flag
And sent three cracker nazis to hell and I'm sad
Ugh, I'm loading tips in my mag
To send these redneck bigots to some death in a bag
Choke him out with his confederate flag
I know these devils are mad

:wow:

Testify kinda reminds me of "when shyt hit the fan" off Kendrick album.

So a rapper sounding different on a totally different song is the best proof you got bruh?
The first song has classic Jay Elec flow and wordplay, and his type of references too. 2nd track has one of Nas' most recognizable flows where he's back to rhyming to a lot of his usual aesthetic. I'm just saying hearing the 2nd song makes it more apparent

The reason Nas is the greatest is that each of his albums chronicles moments in his life or the culture..that's why many of his projects although not perfect, are timeless. Stillmatic (his return to the top), God's Son (losing his mum), Hip Hop is Dead (trying to save hip hop when it was nothing but ringtone rap), Untitled (black injustice), Life is Good (his divorce).... no other rapper has done it like him...

I struggle to think what his next album will be about.. :lupe:
