It IS a big deal to say that one of the greatest lyricist of all time uses someone else's pen.
Especially with both of them have denied it

Jay Elec said:Nas is one of the gods, one of the greatest of all time, one of the godfathers of even my own style. I met him on a humble submission and he is one of the greatest ever — he never has or never will need a ghostwriter. He's legendary, his pen game is unquestionable; salute to Nas.

Which of these statements is a denial?

......Breh, are you serious?See how easy it is to cater the quote to fit your belief when you bold and italicize what you want to.
I bolded and italicized the part that addresses the allegation of ghostwriting. You highlighted some shyt that has more to do with the admiration Jay Elec has for Nas and acknowledgment that Nas has influenced Jay Elec as an artist. It's the equivalent of Nas saying Rakim and Kool G Rap are the "godfathers of his style." In no way shape or form can you extract from that kind of statement anything about ghostwriting.@Ziggiy you looking a little funny in the light."Jay Elect DOESNT write it/ Hov couldn't write it he vacationing"
From the man himself
How you gonna say they both denied it and then only show evidence of one of them denying it?
Meanwhile, you ignore the statement from the other person which I'm suggesting doesn't amount to a denial.
But that's the only song that sounds really really..different.
breh called me a "snitch"

Mortal man? That shyt is classic. Kendrick went ham on that.Testify kinda reminds me of "when shyt hit the fan" off Kendrick album.
I agree 100%My personal second favorite GOAT album after Illmatic![]()
I don't think Elec could say " Nas will never "use" a ghostwriter unless he's been with Nas his entire career or in the future. He can obviously say he'll never "need" one because him needing one doesn't make sense in the context of Nas' perceived lyrical ability. Just pointing out the language use you posted isnt clear but its also not a complete denial which is " I did not write any bars for Nas" which he probably can't say as that would be inaccurate (imo) but I do doubt he wrote a whole verse for Nas to spit verbatim. That makes no sense to me.
