I feel where you coming from, but I respect the man's evolution.....

He went from a underdog with dope beats who had to fight to just be able to put out a CD to a cultural icon.

I'm not the same person I was 10 years ago so why would I expect him or any other rapper to be?

I agree, just exclude his latest work. Yeezus was just pure garbage.

See the thing is, as I felt his music fallen off over time, I still really enjoyed every release up until Yeezus.

MBDTF, Graduation and 808s were all enjoyable, the lyrical depth wasnt there like before, but now the actual music is bad too

If you listen to a song like Family Business and try to imagine what his family dynamic is right now at Cassa Kardashian it does make you realize how he can no longer make music with the same level of soul and relatability..

It's the curse of a lot of rappers that make it big and lose touch.. He's just doing it on a really extreme level...

Well that's mostly Kanye's fault. He came in the game portraying that ultra back-pack, underground, un-sung hero type of rapper. That really is hard to keep up and your success and money in your pocket increases

Those type of rappers always either have a short shelf life or have to do a 180 on their subject matter. Kanye is in a bad spot

Yeah, no soul whatsoever on Blood On The Leaves :bryan:

Garbage psuedo revolutionary faux soul for sure.

That song was 3 verses of rapping about the hardships of fukking with groupie rat bytches. You call that soul?

It's actually spitting in the face of Nina with the garbage he was rapping about.

Change is inevitable, change for the worse isn't.

His music has changed for the worse

How could he change for the better by rapping about the same shyt 10 years straight?

There's a difference between consistency and stagnation. What fans take as consistency is really just not doing shyt to your music and keeping it stagnant. No other artist fits that bill more than Ghostface Killah, but I digress

Yea I loved that album too and also have a shirt from that tour. But unlike you I still like his newer music cause I look at it as just entertainment. Just like when I listen to R Kelly's music I don't think of him pissing on young girls.

"Ultra backpack" he was signed to Rocafella records. "Underground" he had produced hits for Ludacris, Jay-Z & Alicia Keys. "First nikka with a benz & a backpack".

The un-sung hero thing is an underdog complex. Which he still has... it's just not with rap.
