If you listen to a song like Family Business and try to imagine what his family dynamic is right now at Cassa Kardashian it does make you realize how he can no longer make music with the same level of soul and relatability..

It's the curse of a lot of rappers that make it big and lose touch.. He's just doing it on a really extreme level...

White Dress was the best song he's released in about 6 years.

That album is good, but it lacks the replay value of his older stuff.

I think producer wise it might have been best work, but lyrically it was mostly forgettable

That's fine. But please tell me you can hear all the punches on CD? He was still recovering from the accident but please admit his delivery has gotten x10 better on the other albums? Please tell me you can admit the drums on CD are the worst on any of his albums? Thematically, it's all over the place. It's his least cohesive album.

I'm not saying this to diss CD. It's a landmark album and I loved it from the start. But at the very least - technically all of the other albums are better.

You didn't expect me to bring that song up i can tell. but dont worry i can name more joints just as good.

Its fine you don't like his music anymore, but the point is, what you don't like doesn't mean its mediocre. the music maybe extremely different but the depth, storytelling and soul is still there inside it. You can't say Ye lost his soulfulness and honesty etc. when thats all he can be in the end, is brutally honest. sorry if i come off mad its just i hate seeing people on this site being ignorant once again.

I don't understand the love MBDTF gets. I think it's mediocre lyrically and just too much sonically. College Dropout and Late Registration are really the only Kanye albums I fukk with. Those two plus the unreleased shyt from that era is my Kanye West.

Only mess with the first 2 too. 2 solid albums. His mother passing sent him off the cliff.


I haven't been able to listen to Kanye in years really.


Louis Vuitton Don mixtape was my favorite project from him altogether. That person is long dead.

I'll give you delivery, but his adlibs are annoying as hell now. I never listened to Kanye to be wowed with his technical ability as an MC. I listened to him because he made music that seemed very honest and put it over good soul sample heavy production.
