Little Things in Baseball That You Don't Understand

I've never been able to get over the fact that all the parks are built differently. "Batter friendly park"....

And they have the nerve to be the most stat-obsessed sport...when park-sizes aren't even consistent.

Imagine if like...the patriots field was 110 yards long, while the Dolphins field was only like 95. Or if the Spurs rim was 10.5 feet off the ground while the Bulls was only like 9.7.... I just feel like shyt needs to be standard.

Don't understand anything about pitching. I try to play baseball games with the homies and they are all about how to pitch and where and when, I'm just like "nicca, I'm randomly picking my pitches and spots out here".... If a dude has a knuckleball I'm like....

why do coaches, assistants have to wear the team uni?

it looks so ridiculous

can you imagine a soccer manager wearing like the team kit, greg pop wearing a spurs jersey out there on the bench etc.

why is the 1b glove bigger than any other?


why are there rain delays? football players/soccer players play in the rain and snow suck it up

Cause the 1b has to have the most available space in his glove for all the different throws sent his way,and gives him that much more of a target area.. usually the tallest/largest player on the field is the 1b.


you ever played baseball in the rain breh? once baseballs get wet, they're pretty much ruined.... a muddy/soaked baseball isn't ideal to be trying to throw or hit....add to the fact that visibility/pitch control are drastically altered in the rain.

a baseball loses many of it's normal properties once it becomes wet inside... it's not like a football or soccer ball,where if you dry it off with a towel, it's back to normal.... the Rockies have gone as far as to keep their baseballs in a controlled enviroment at a specific humidity, to benefit their team in the high altitude
