This kind of thing opens the floodgates. These major orgs are no longer afraid of public backlash to joining with hate groups/human rights violators. It’s cynical as fukk. I don't think it works. The reason LIV had leverage was because all the players were independent contractors and they snagged most of the top up and coming talent. You even had Cam Smith coming off a major then going to LIV. This made all the PGA events irrelevant because the best players weren't playing.

Unless the Saudi's could pull top talent away from the NFL and even then, the NFL brand is so strong that it wouldn't matter. The bigger question would be does this country have an appetite for a second fiddle league/year round football.

No they absolutely do not. This isnt up for debate. Theres only two elite golfers on LIV in Cam and Brooks. Bryson having his first good finish in years at the last PGA doesnt chang that.

I went to a LIV golf tournament in September. It was actually a lot better than I expected. Those criticizing it as "exhibition" golf and saying the quality is poor are jus flat out wrong. It was actually a really good atmosphere, plenty of drinks and food, and it was well priced.

I'll concede on the best "young" players point but you wildin on the bolded. Major wins are what make stars in golf. You don't think the PGA tour would care if their guys weren't winning majors? The perception would be that the best guys aren't on the PGA Tour... so yes they give a shyt. Hell, that's why they were subtly trying to influence the majors into not letting LIV guys play but the Majors held firm.
