Going into our NC season, some thought Donovan would be a sure-fire 1st round pick. The production this past year just wasn't there. I thought he had a good combine. Maybe he should've came out after the NC season, but I guess he was not getting the grades he wanted from the scouts then. Another guy who I know personally from Lewisville Damien Martinez who was the starter in the backfield with Cam Ward should have come back for another year and now he probably will not get drafted.

This will sound vague as hell, but
scrappy and sneaky solid is probably the best word for any of the Cal defensive players. He isn't going to surprise you with starting unless folks gets hurt or something else goes down, but he won't embarrass himself once he gets on the field.....and he'll probably be solid enough to never give a reason to get taken off once he's on it. He won't be dumb and he'll try hard.
