I personally think teams didn't have him as highly rated as mock drafters and media did. That explains him not being in the first round, he has limitations to his game.

Then he reportedly had all time bad interviews, like boondocks level foolishness. That would drop him possibly another round or two.

Then prime went on a media tour claiming he was gonna "pull an Eli" and certain teams shouldn't draft his son because he knows exactly where he wants his son to go. That would drop him even further.

And then on top of that hes black and flashy...so yeah "With the 144th pick, the Cleveland Browns select...."

Yeah based on the way Prime was saying the wildest shyt possible to the media....bad teams don't draft my son, cold weather teams don't draft my son, any teams I don't like don't draft my son.

I fully believe Shedeur went in there saying crazy shyt as well.

People tend to forget that sports media is in the interest of clicks and engagement, so they're going to do everything to make that happen even if it means overhyping marginal players.

It's why they pretended to play dumb about why he was falling eventhough they were literally putting that information out there weeks before as to why it happened.

I can believe that teams generally didn't think as highly of him as the media and draft pundits did, and I can believe that he was arrogant and bombed in interviews. You combine that with there only being a handful of teams looking for a starting QB in this draft and a slide out of the 1st round has logic behind it. All the way to 5th though with guys like Milroe & Slough being picked over him, feels a lot more deliberate and not just a coincidence of things lining up.

It was a weak QB class though compared to last year and Shedeur wasn’t the only one that fell in the draft. Ewers fell even worse after initially being pegged as a first round pick last year.

That is true, but I think a guy expected to go in the 1st the day before the draft falling to the 5th is a bit more shocking than a guy expected to go in the 3rd or 4th falling to the 7th

Teams not tryna deal with all the distractions that come with drafting him. If he was a generational talent then maybe but he’s not so he slid. First sign of shyt not going his way the media is gonna start asking questions about bringing in Deion to coach the team

Philly to Seatown
I think it was a combo of him being not that good, his dad ruffling feathers behind the scenes and in front if we're being honest, Shedeur allegedly interviewing badly and a bit a racism from the NFL to let those uppity negroes know their place.
