If you have bad money management living at home well into adult hood can leave you shyt outta luck. Many of our people lack the discipline to save and the young ones dont realize when they are young is actually the best time to save . Many brehs have decent jobs but cant move out cuz they blow they 2 week pay check within 2 weeks and they will struggle when they have to pay rent. A mans stability goes a lot further when he provides his own. Facts.

Ironically, the people you speaking of that make poor financial decisions in early adulthood probably don't have the paycheck to properly plan or had the upbringing to value planning in the first place. Having poor money management at home doesn't have the severe consequences that having poor money management living alone does.

I've seen too many brehs that was living alone in they late teens/early 20s very quickly fukk up their solid position to having baby mothers and developing terrible habits that burn through finances (women, partying, drinking/smoking, etc). There's pros and cons on both sides depending on what type of person you are

For me, it's like as long as you don't have a family of your own. or even just a man or girlfriend up in my house. you can stay for as long as you want. you could be 43 and still living with me as a single adult.
But as soon as you start having kids or bringing boyfriends over, time to go get your own place.

shiiiiiiiit if they are using their genitals in non peeing capacity, it’s time to GTFO.

who fukkin house looking like an episode of 2 and Half Men with random people staying the night and fukking.

Folks out here acting high and mighty like we ain't coming out of an eviction moratorium that is solely responsible for millions of people still having somewhere to live at all :unimpressed:
Internet stay having people living a whole false existence for validation from people they don't know and will never meet, shyt is wild.

I ain't shaming no way another person has to live their life because they struggle ain't mine and it isn't my place to speak. Too many folks out here living on the streets as husks of who they could have been to shame anything that gives someone a roof over their head and people to share it with who don't actively hate them, brehs.

Say it plain. You have a bunch of talking points. Are you saying that people hate their kids because we want them to learn accountability?

There are extremes both ways. Only an a$$hole would force their family into homelessness.

Only an a$$hole would disallow their kid their true independence and self reliance by spoonfeeding them and making them codependent.

I don't give a fukk about people's identities online. None of that shyt matters.

Is your opinion to let your adult kid waste their potential forever up under your ass indefinitely?

Black people in general don’t practice multigenerational homesteading like other cultures. That would be the fastest way to protect and provide for your family generationally. If you look at the show Dallas ( although fake), Duck Dynasty, Asians, and Hispanics they live several generations under one roof or a huge piece of land with several generations having their own home on one enclosed property.

But again a lot of us sell our elders land so we can’t do that based on the need for the money. Especially in this day and time not only financially but safety wise it is wise to keep family home as much or as long as possible. A lot of of people putting their kids out here and they’re not prepared financially or safety wise. Just wondering around posing as adults but they’re not ready to handle adult situations.

I feel bad for young people. The cost of living is way too high nowadays. I was able to leave home at 18 and now people are not so lucky:francis:
I moved out at 18 back at 19 and out for good at 21 but I wish I had the Luxury to stay and stack but my moms use to get mad and take that shyt out on me for being there..you know how many times I heard “I CANT WAIT UNTIL YOU TURN 18 AND GET THE fukk OUT MY HOUSE AND GET YOUR OWN shyt!”

that play a big part in why people leave but no one talks about it

I agree.

Wouldn't that still be a red flag though
A chick living paycheck to paycheck living on her own is a bigger red flag than a 21 yr old chick living at home.

The one living on her own prolly despises her mother and always getting into arguments and petty shyt with her .

Word..living at home is cool if you have the parents for it..

Not everyone has the type of parent suited for living at home past 18.

Heres the thing though, youve fukked them over whether you kick them out or not in that case. The issue is that many black parents out here have not and still arent setting their kids up with shyt to make it out here in the real world, they expect them to get out there and be wage slaves for the white man like they did, and honestly, the biggest reason why is because most of these parents STILL depend on the white mans checks even as their kids become grown, so they have nothing to offer when that time comes. So basically, they still failed cuz they were more so out for self than ensuring a decent future for their kids. Many have become complacent getting in where they fit in and never try to move ahead to be in any position to build shyt for theirs. Thats why I think its stupid for black folks who were blessed enough to find the way to look down on others who were basically screwed from jump, and dont let any of these folks talking shyt not own any businesses, be their own or any sort of boss or work any job theyre expendable because you look real dumb talking about others being on the tit while youre on the white mans nuts calling him boss depending on him to eat  Same difference IMO. Many of em are a pink slip or layoff away from running back to their parents themselves and think shyts sweet...

Life is hard. No matter how much we think we are doing for our kids, they don't appreciate shyt that is given to them. Look at how nobody wants to get off their ass and work after that stimulus. It's a fact. No Black person in the USA is a island that doesn't have to work with and for cacs at some point. So there is a false equivalency with working hard and serving cacs. For those that don't have and were less able to give their kids an education, it's OUR job as men to volunteer our time, teach and reach out to the single mom or dad and help them as a community. That's what's fukking us up is individualism. A lot of people mix that up with being independent.

I'm not saying we're doomed, but the difference between the communal societies is that they live all together in a house, they put their money together and buy that motherfukka then push them out to go buy another house and so forth. The grandma is watching the kids and getting taken care of by her kids. The adults are out working, not sitting up under their mom's ass.

I bought my town house when i moved out at 27, still living in it

I lived with roommates for a couple years, shyt sucked, moved back home while working and started putting everything into savings

Edit——

I also understand that not everyone’s parents are cool with that though, or struggling themselves

That is a result of lost childhoods, teenage pregnancy and poverty mentality.

A lot of kids grow up watching their siblings because their parent had to work full time, in a single parent household till kindergarten or sometimes high school. That shyt is traumatic.

I know a lot of people like this.

Truth is...like one Breh said earlier, they repeat what's been done to them.
